This European Company Mission is part of the EAGLE TWO project which has received funding from the European Union s COSME Programme ( ). EAGLE TWO aims to enhance co-operation between European trade promotion organisations and the European Commission, with the intention of providing an even better trade promotion service for SMEs. During , the EAGLE project partners from Belgium, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania and the UK will be organising a series of events and meetings, as well as running joint European company missions to non-eu countries. 2 Your company profile in the company mission brochure, circulated to companies in Taiwan Services of an experienced mission manager before and during the visit. Pre-departure briefing A briefing meeting will be held in Sicily, date and venue tbc. The briefing will provide market information and advice on how to do business in India, as well as on the mission programme and logistics. Mission brochure LCCI and Sicindustria will produce a brochure using the text you provide in the application form. The brochure includes your company description and contact details, which will be circulated in India and used by the in-market partners to arrange your business to business meetings. Please a high resolution head and shoulders photo that is 300dpi, 4cm x 5cm for the mission brochure with your application. Shared intelligence Delegation companies will have different levels of experience in the market. Companies new to the market will benefit from the experiences of others. Members of the delegation are invited to join other members of the group and our sponsors representatives each evening for dinner, which provides an opportunity to discuss issues and ideas. This will also provide you with the opportunity to network with like-minded businesses from Belgium, Greece, Hungary, UK and Lithuania who are also part of this European mission. Travel arrangements and subsidies For companies from food, drink and packaging related sectors, four nights accommodation (for one representative per company) will be covered by TAITRA. Eligible companies must have an annual turnover of at least 205,000 and must attend any of the above Trade Shows. For non-food, drink and packaging related companies hotel recommendations will be provided. You can make your own travel arrangements but it is highly recommended that you stay in the mission hotel in order to make the most of the networking opportunities. COSTS They are illustrated in the presentation. Flights and Hotels are payable direct to the travel agents before departure. A further fee, will have to be paid for internal transports. It will cost around 100 euros. We will send you additional information on how to book your travel and accommodation if your application has been successful. Trade mission participation fee: The participation is free of charge for Italian companies. Eligibility To accompany this company mission, your business must be established in Italy and selling or marketing an Italian product or service. Applications are subject to approval by Sicindustria, LCCI and TAITRA. You will be notified after the closing date for applications as to whether you have been successful. Page 2 of 7

3 SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN THE VISIT Insurance Insurance has not been included in the travel package and mission members are strongly advised to take out adequate travel and sickness insurance. We always recommend that this insurance includes cover for cancellation of the visit for reasons beyond the control of LCCI. If a trade mission is cancelled for reasons beyond our control, LCCI can take no responsibility for any loss you may incur. Vaccinations LCCI accepts no responsibility for advice in this specialised field. Please check necessary individual health precautions for the trade mission countries with your local travel nurse or GP. Visas Italian passport holders must obtain a visa before departure. You can obtain them through Esedra Travel Agency. The cost is 78 euros. It takes about 10 days to get a Visa. Receipt of an application form does not confirm a company s eligibility. Places for European company mission are limited and these will be allocated according to suitability for the mission Mission participants should contact our dedicated travel partners or their own agent for arrangements. 4 You should not pay for any travel until your eligibility and the market visit are both confirmed, although you should reserve airline seats and hotel rooms if no cost is incurred. If you cancel close to the company mission departure date, you may lose some or all of the travel costs you have paid to the travel agent. If the company mission is cancelled close to the departure date for reasons that are beyond the control of Sicindustria, you may lose some or all of the travel costs you have paid. Sicindustria is not responsible for services provided by partner organisations during the mission, such as overseas Chambers of Commerce. While Sicindustria will take measures to ensure a safe mission, it is not responsible for the conduct and safety of individual mission members.
