2 ABOUT INZBC The India New Zealand Business Council [INZBC] is the premier trade organisation in New Zealand, which has been working since 1988 to build trade relations between India & New Zealand. INZBC is run by industry leaders of New Zealand, who have years of experience in this sphere, thereby becoming the key stakeholders for International Trade Development of India & NZ. INZBC has been recognised as the main industry body by both the governments of India & NZ. Almost all of the visiting delegations of Govt. of India have been hosted by INZBC, and we have organised networking events for them. With members spanning across various industries, like agriculture, horticulture, dairy, infrastructure, finance, education, tax planning, etc.; the members form the mainstay of corporate leaders of New Zealand. INZBC strives to help the industry to engage, interact and grow together. For further information please see following links: OUR MEMBERS Our corporate members include the leaders in almost all industry sectors of New Zealand. For a full list, visit our website: WHAT WE DO INZBC gives members a host of benefits, from more information to networking opportunities, more business ties, to getting a say with the policy makers. All this and more benefits keep adding to the INZBC members. The INZBC activities are targeted at achieving our key objectives:»to improve market access to NZ exports and help increase the country s exports.» To fecilitate kiwi businesses to do investments in India and promote, Make in India.» Open up New Zealand market for Indian products and services and help Indian businesses to invest in NZ. ABOUT INZBC SUMMIT INZBC Summit has become the cornerstone of the business events in Auckland. The summit sees an annual gathering of the top companies, policy makers and corporate houses, interested in the space of India-New Zealand trade. After three successful years, in 2014,2015, and 2016, INZBC this year has planned to focus on one of the most important sectors - Eductaion, skill and technology. We are partnering with India s leading business council, FICCI, to get a business delegation for the Summit. To know more about the previous summits, go to the Summit micro-site. 2
3 ABOUT EDUTECH 2017 : KNOWLEDGE SKILL TECHNOLOGY Over 200 delegates to attend High intensity event focusing on international education industry Comprehensive insights from policy makers In the spirit of MOU signed with FICCI, INZBC presents fourth edition of its annual summit. International education is New Zealand s fifth largest export industry, with a goal to achieve $5 billion economic value by India is New Zealand s second-largest and fastest-growing source country for international students. Post-study opportunities continue to be in high demand as Indian students seek pathways for employment and migration. New Zealand s Private Training Establishments (PTEs) attract the largest number of Indian students, driven largely by migration pathways. Skill India Skill India is an initiative of the Government of India which has been launched to empower the youth of India with skill sets which make them more employable and more productive in their work environment. The National Skill Mission is chaired by the Hon ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi himself. India is a country today with 65% of its youth in the working age group. If ever there is a way to reap this demographic advantage, it has to be through skill development of the youth so that they add not only to their personal growth, but to the country s economic growth as well. The new programme aims at providing training and skill development to 500 million youth of India by 2020, covering each and every village. Technology Technology is not only fueling major business transformation across industries, it s also changing how technology enterprises sell their products and services, operate, and plan for future growth. Technology is the backbone of the digital economy. The rate of change and the level of disruption driven by modern technology are exponential. 3
