2 1. INTRODUCTION The Mvula Trust is South Africa s leading and largest Water and Sanitation Non-Government Organisation. The Mvula Trust is an Implementing Agent of various government departments and is involved in the provision of public infrastructure and other related services. The Mvula Trust is inviting competent professional service providers and suppliers with a proven track record to apply for registration on the database of service providers and suppliers. Our Vision The Mvula Trust s vision is a statement of our highest aspirations. It sets out what The Mvula Trust wishes to accomplish through its activities: A South Africa in which all enjoy safe and affordable Water and Sanitation that contributes to good health and productive livelihoods. 3 TO ALL SUPPLIERS SEEKING REGISTRATION AS PREFERRED SERVICE PROVIDERS AND SUPPLIERS OF GOODS AND SERVICES ON THE PROCUREMENT DATABASE (REF NO: TMT/DATABASE/2016) PURPOSE OF THE DATABASE REGISTRATION To give all prospective service providers and suppliers an equal opportunity to participate in the procurement of goods and services at The Mvula Trust. This database registration does not purport an offer to do business with The Mvula Trust, but merely serves as an invitation to be registered in the database. Subject to a competitive process for a good and service request, successful bidders will be utilised on an ad hoc basis, as and when required, by The Mvula Trust (TMT). All suppliers are herewith invited to register as preferred suppliers and service providers on the database of The Mvula Trust for a period of 12 months. In order to comply with our Supply Chain Management Policy, Procurement unit have to develop a supplier and service provider database to be used in managing the procurement of various goods and services as required from time to time. The purpose of this database is to give all prospective suppliers an equal opportunity to submit future quotations or bids to TMT. It is envisaged however, that this database will contribute to efficient administration and compliance with our policy. Attached please find an official application form to assist in registration of your company on our supplier and service provider database. It is imperative that suppliers and service providers read the application document carefully; complete it in full and sign it.
