1 2017 AFA Adviser of the Year Award Application form To enter the 2017 AFA Adviser of the Year Award please complete and return this Application form by 6pm on Friday 28 July For more information about the award visit: adviseroftheyear.com.au Application completion guide The initial application process consists of an application form Please the completed application form to by 28 July 2017 Application is limited to one AFA Award and your application will be assessed against the criteria for your selected award You may attach supporting documents including video with your application Incomplete applications will not be accepted The judging process The judging panel will assess all applications and select a shortlist to proceed through to further stages, which will include telephone and face to face assessments. Finalists will also be required to submit their total active client list to an independent research and benchmarking company for the purpose of a client survey. Ultimately three finalists will be selected for this Award and they will be required to attend a full day judging showcase, to be held in Sydney in September (travel and accommodation costs will be paid for by the Award partner). The Award winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner of the AFA 2017 National Adviser Conference on the Gold Coast, October AFA membership Applicants who progress to finalist stage of the 2017AFA Adviser of the Year Award are expected to be current AFA members. 2 The 2017 AFA Adviser of the Year Award will be presented to the best adviser as measured against a diverse range of criteria. In addition to considering education, experience and contribution to industry and community, the judges also consider in detail the criteria relating to the AFA s four learning pillars that guide our thinking and curate the professional development content of the AFA advice community. The learning pillars address critical issues, challenges and opportunities that financial advisers encounter in their professional career. (see below). Quality Advice Strategies How you apply your technical skills and knowledge to provide great advice strategies to create client certainty.
