2 about Young Professionals of Seattle Young Professionals of Seattle (YPOS) was established in 2011 and is now recognized throughout the community as the young professional s concierge to the city. We aim to provide a place for young professionals to connect, network and expand professionally. YPOS hosts several events per year in local hotspots for social networking, professional development and volunteerism. This is open, friendly, straightforward networking with young professionals, businesses and entrepreneurs that are passionate about what they do. Who Runs YPOS? YPOS is administered by a set of elected board members and other committee members selected from the excellent pool of young professionals within the Seattle area. Goals for YPOS YPOS's ultimate goal is to help create a revitalization of the Seattle economy and society, based on the principle that people are at the heart of what makes businesses and communities work well. 3 YPOS Events Happy Hour Last Tuesday of the Month Monthly Networking events held on the last Tuesday of each month at various venues throughout the Downtown and surrounding areas. This is the happy hour that makes all other happy hours jealous. frequency: MONTHLY attendees: Anniversary Party YPOS celebrates another year This may be the swankiest cocktail party you ll see in Seattle; held in late February / early March at a new venue each year. frequency: ANNUAL attendees: Dapper as End of Summer Party This outdoor/indoor summer party has been dubbed the party of the year. 100s of the most welldressed young professionals, music, photo booths and multiple local vendors in support there s not much to dislike frequency: ANNUAL attendees: ProDev Educational Event Series An educational event series, featuring conversations with local mentors and business leaders topics focus on entrepreneurship, career development and professional networking. frequency: 2/MO attendees: Loop Networking Eastside Networking Organization Premier eastside happy hour event focused on business networking for entrepreneurs and business professionals held at venues around Downtown Bellevue. frequency: MONTHLY attendees: location: BELLEVUE Special Events Tastings, ski trips, etc. If you haven t noticed, YPOS has a topflight events team. Occasionally they go rogue (and that s okay) and put together awesome events on the fly. 4 the YPOS Community YPOS remains to be the largest young professionals networking organization on the west coast with a registered community of over 10,000 people and a projection of 12,000+ by the end of YPOS Psychographics & Demographics Young professionals tend to be movers and shakers in their communities. Our members are intelligent, successful and connected professionals who are involved not only in business, but also help to guide the efforts of all sorts of organizations. Giving back to the community through leadership is important for our passionate young professionals. 5 Many within the YPOS community are in a transitional period in their lives. They are buying new assets, such as homes, vehicles and looking for investment opportunities. Young professionals tend to be early adopters of new technology and often have more disposable income (a median annual income of $77k) than other professionals with families and mortgages.
