1 Past / Golden Palm Awards SOUTH FLORIDA HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY EXCELLENCE AWARD DESIGN Entry Guidelines I. Each firm must complete the attached Design Submittal Form and fee payment online. Entry fees shall be as follows: a. $ for each member s entry b. $ for each non-member s entry c. $ for an entry + new membership II. The Submission PowerPoint which will be provided upon confirmation of payment will require the following: a. Brief description of the project, project location, project square footage and category of submission. b. Proper Identification of Design Category Submittal. Please note NEWH reserves the right to amend the category at its sole discretion if it is deemed that the project does not meet category criteria. (ie. Hotel vs. Resort) Design firms should base their category submission on typical industry standards and minimums for each. All entries should be for HOSPITALITY projects only. c. A minimum of four (4), but no more than eight (8), photographs of the project. JPG high resolution format. Photographs, project description and/or plans shall NOT identify the submitters/design firm name. Photographs should clearly show the design and/or architecture of the area of the property relevant to the category in which it is entered. If entering more than one category please submit different photographs that reflect each category you are entering.

2 III. Please ensure that you have the appropriate copyright clearances for all photography submitted Renderings (photorealistic or otherwise) shall not be permitted. All photographs must be of actual completed project spaces. d. Floor plans and/or CAD drawings can be included as supporting material where relevant. Project must have been completed no sooner than January 1, 2016 and cannot have received a SOFHIE or Golden Palm Award in the past. Past / IV. Please submit all of the above mentioned to: GoldenPalmAwards2018@gmail.com V. PowerPoint entry deadline will be Friday, September, 21st 2018 by 5pm. NOTE: The submissions will be provided to judges with arbitrary submission numbers assigned at random. Judging will be done by an independent and acknowledged panel of hospitality industry professionals. Judging is independent and anonymous. Failure to meet any of the entry requirements will disqualify the entry. The judges decisions are final and awards are not required in all categories. Entry submittals will be displayed but not returned.

I hereby authorize that the work for the submitted project is original, that I have a professional license # in the State of Florida, our firm is licensed to do business in the State of Florida, the project has been completed and has not previously won a SOFHIE or Golden Palm Award.

5 Past / I, as a representative of the company, also authorize NEWH/South Florida to use the company name, logo and photos, on documents, event signage, NEWH websites, Social Media, and event advertisements, related to the 2018 Golden Palm Awards.
