11 Stages in the Process Pre- Application Acceptance Pre-application consultation, advice and stakeholder engagement. EIA scoping/screening The Commission has 28 days to decide whether to accept application Promoter publicises accepted application Pre- Examination IPC appoints Panel or Single Commissioner to carry out initial assessment and preliminary meeting before making procedural decision on how application is to be examined. 6 months to carry out examination, including written representations and hearings Examination Promoter and other parties engaged in examination process Decision Post Decision IPC has 3 months to issue decision and statement of reasons 6 week window for legal challenge. Development Consent requirements and obligations.
