18 TMSA3 It is generally expected that all companies will drop one stage in TMSA3, Stage 4 requires extensive effort for compliance. Oil Majors are not yet consistent on their requirements and expectations of TMSA 3. eg. Stage 1 required by IMT, Stage 3 by Statoil Chevron are the most active and most demanding without allowing a for a grace period for full implementation by the industry. Elements such as (Risk Assessments) require all SMS procedures to be re-assessed independently will cause considerable burden. Different scoring requirements by Oil Majors and non-oil Majors including terminals creating false picture on actual company rating. The Committee Secretariat is in the process of collecting experiences from member companies on TMSA 3 audits. General guidance to be developed for the members.
