4 Meanwhile Space CIC established in 2009 Mission is to make unused space available to as many people as possible empty Space is wrong! Deliver projects in Luton, Hastings, Lewes, Northern Ireland and (Hoxton, Whitechapel, Exmouth Market, Finchley, Willesden, Kilburn, Loughborough Junction, Wembley, Sutton, Brixton) Carving a new meanwhile industry, developing services in enhanced project delivery, consultancy, placemaking, branding and promotion, training, employment and skills, community engagement, research & policy. Work to influence government and property industry to reduce barriers and bureaucracies.

5 Journey so far : Meanwhile Project: Government s revitalising town centres policy meanwhile leases for land and property, toolkits, advice 24 projects in 17 places Develop network to share knowledge 2011: Forum grows to over 1000 members Advice and guidance to 50+ enquiries/week Deliver projects in Hastings, Lewes, Luton, Willesden and Craigavon. Meanwhile Centre hosts 90 projects spaces in Clerkenwell, Whitechapel, Exmouth Market and Finchley Road Mary Portas praises the work of the Meanwhile Project : Projects delivered in 14 predominantly deprived neighbourhoods Eric Pickles announces changes facilitate temporary uses of up to 2 years Meanwhile Use now an industry standard term Network of 11,000 people Devising services and products around live/work, high streets, new enterprise, online platforms, Creative hubs, European cities etc.
