7 2013 FEEDBACK 'Luck' is what is needed to make that sale! By Faatimah Khota Interesting! Entertaining! Beneficial! These are the three words that I use to describe the Sales Workshop presented by Jacques De Villiers that I attended in August A week before attending the workshop I was invited by Growing Hands to attend this workshop - the reason being that I just started my own craft business and I was told that it would be beneficial for me...and beneficial it was! The first and most important thing for me that stood out from the workshop is to 'create a website presence'. Yes I did work on a website initially but put it on hold as I was doing it myself and didn't have enough information to complete my website the way I wanted it. However I now know that I must complete it as soon as possible and showcase my business. The second thing that stood out for me was to have 'luck' and how does one get 'luck'? 'network, network, network' keep getting to know more people and keep reaching prospects because for each person that you know, they know a whole lot more. 'Offer something of value'. That was the third lesson that I learnt. Yes, among other things, I am making handmade clocks. So, I should rather say "handmade unique creative clocks made out of excellent quality wood, hand-painted in almost any colour you want, the paint is double-coated to establish an excellent finish. The clocks are then sprayvarnished to seal in the paint and to make it easy to be cleaned. All this add up to good value at an affordable price".
8 Overcome obstacles" was the fourth lesson. A customer will tell you "It's too expensive!" this is where you show the customer the benefits of your product and why it will be of great value for them to buy your product. I would like to say a big "Thank you!" firstly for the invite to the workshop, secondly to Jacque for offering his time and expertise and finally to 'Growing Hands' forhosting the event. It's really great to have people around who have confidence in us aspiring entrepreneurs and are willing to assist us in various ways. Build your business with our business experts! Eight sessions of three hours are scheduled from March 2014 till the end of November 2014 For Direct registration: the-congress-of-business-and-economics ?ref=eorgbtn
