1 The purpose of The Corpus Christi Youth Service Scholarship Award is to recognize a graduating High School Senior who is involved in service to our Parish and/or the Tucson community. The amount of the scholarship may vary from year to year, depending on available funding. The award for the year 2018 is at least one scholarship with a minimum of $1000. Eligibility: Any high school senior with plans to continue their education at an accredited college, university, or trade/technical school. Applicant and/or family MUST be registered parishioners at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Applicant must be active in one or more of the following: Community Service, Youth Group, Scouting, or similar service organizations. Application Process: Applicant must submit the completed application, along with two letters of recommendation. One letter from a high school educator. One letter from a non-related adult familiar with the student s community service involvement. Please submit a small photo of yourself with application. Selection Process: The committee and the Pastor will review all applications and conduct interviews. Requirements: Applicants agree to use the award for expenses related to their continuing education. Applicants agree that if they are the recipients of the award, any tax consequences are their sole responsibility. When applicants are selected, they agree to provide verification of acceptance and registration in the continuing education program. This proof is required prior to the distribution of funds.

2 Timeline: Saturday and Sunday, January 20-21, 2018 Parent/Student informational meeting after the 4:30 and 9:45 Masses. Applications will be available online. Monday, April 9, 2018 Applications are due in office by 4:00. April 10-20, 2018 Applications reviewed. April 21, 2018 Interviews will be held. Interviewees will be notified of results in 5-7 days. May 20, 2018 Presentation of Scholarship to recipient at 9:45 Mass. August 2018 Scholarship awarded to recipient once verification of enrollment is received by Parish. 2
