14 REPORTING REQUIREMENTS ONE-YEAR GRANT PROGRAM CYCLE: APRIL 1, 2017 TO MARCH 31, 2018 Reports are completed in GeMS Quarterly Progress Report Submit via Grants emanagement System (GeMS): Initiate report one week before deadline Contact grants staff one week before deadline if you need an extension on report deadline Due dates: First quarter- July 31, 2017 Second quarter- October 31, 2017 Third quarter- January 31, 2018 Final Report Provide a cumulative data rather than quarterly Due date: April 30, 2018

19 SITE VISITS Purpose of the Site Visits: To build a relationship between Komen Greater NYC and the grantee To provide assistance and support to grantee To evaluate the grantee s progress towards achieving project goals To identify factors that have enabled or inhibited project goals To discuss plans and processes for evaluating the project To identify issues requiring further technical assistance

20 ADVOCACY PRIORITIES: Support for expanded federal funding for all biomedical research, especially breast cancer research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Defense (DOD); Support state and federal funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention s (CDC) National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) and support policies to modernize NBCCEDP state programs to expand eligibility and provide breast cancer screening and diagnostic services for additional populations; Advocate for policies to improve insurance coverage of breast cancer treatments and screening, specifically pertaining to increased access to drug therapies and limiting out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic mammography; and Evaluate state and federal policies to increase awareness, education and access to clinical trials for all patient populations.
