9 Grants and subdisidies to support the Strategy Diagnosis and strategic planning for Smart Destinations / SIT Co-financing Smart Destinations Projects in Spain (SETUR funds) Objective: Improve diagnosis and strategic planning / SIT Beneficiaries: Any tourist destination interested in initiating its transformation REQUIREMENTS: SETUR co-finance with local authorities the development of Smart Destinations Diagnosis and strategic planning Spanish Local entities as primary beneficiaries Rating : Relevant tourism weight Tourism management organization Recognized tourism Brand Documented commitment to undertake the final action plan Documented Support from the Autonomous Region, tourism sector and knowledge centers 8

10 Grants and subdisidies to support the Strategy Digitalisation and energy efficiency by ICTs in Smart Destinations 60 Million euros (FEDER+local funds) RATIOS AND WEIGHT: % of total investment (40%) REQUIREMENTS: Up to 6 million per Project Coverage up to 80% of total investment Local entities population over 20,000 people Relevant tourism weight according to National Statistics Fundable initiatives: Progress in the transformation into an intelligent tourism destination Improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint Promote interoperability with different administrations and agents Present a potential for re-use or replication in other entities National visitors + Internac. 11 Grants and subdisidies to support the Strategy Entrepreneurship and innovation EMPRENDETUR: 80 Million euros granted since 2014 More than 600 projects presented by tourism SMEs in four major areas: Internationalization projects; Startups and university spin-offs projects; Product innovation projects; Research and Development projects. 255 beneficiaries (start-ups and entrepreneurs) 300 projects. The program has generated a direct investment of more than 100 million euros Working on a new financial line for
