2 PARTICIPATION INVITATION TO ALL JESUIT SECONDARY SCHOOLS 8TH ANNUAL EXHIBIT AND AWARDS All Jesuit HS in the United States are cordially invited with notices sent early in the second semester. This exhibition shows all the work submitted from participating schools. Judging is done by categories and awards and certificates are given in each category. 306 pieces were exhibited in the spring of 2017 and the show was very well received. The 2018 show will be the eighth annual Jesuit National 4X5 Exhibit. This exhibit will be concurrent with the Loyola Academy Art Department Annual Show and music events. This is a busy time at Loyola and lots of people will see this 4x5 exhibit. 8th Annual Jesuit National 4X5 Exhibit calendar, Receive works by 16 April (priority USPS post by 12 April) Inventory 17 April. Judging 19 April. Hang 20 April. Strike 7 May. Post return works and awards priority USPS by 9 May, Categories: Drawing (A color, B black and white), Painting (A opaque, B transparent), Printmaking, Relief (up to 1 above surface), Photography (All image capturing methods) Design (Both digital and hand methods), Mixed Media, Sculpture... the sculpture size limitation must be 4x5x5, or 4x5x4, not larger. 4 MOUNTING, MATTING, AND LABELING REQUIREMENTS Artwork must measure no larger than 4 x All flat art must be matted with a 2 neutral matt. 3. The completed matted submission must measure 8 x Sculptures should have their own base, 4x5x1 not counted in the sculpture size limitation of 4x5x5 max. Show labels for sculpture should be on a 1x3 tent attached to the base with a short string, 6 or so. Please send only sturdy work that can endure shipping and handling. 5. Each flat work submission must have a show label on front lower right organized as below. Artist: Medium: School: Each submission must have an inventory/return label attached firmly to the back. Use your school zip code as ID on all pieces and add 1-30 to identify individual submissions.
