1 Our goal is to raise money for our school while improving our reading skills. Our Read & Raise Fundraiser has many benefits: ALL funds raised go directly to our school for our students Field Trips Art Residency Programs All School Party Reward Incentives Safety Patrol Students become better readers All donations are tax deductible No selling of any products food or otherwise 1.) Start collecting donations today & track them on the sponsor form. 2.) Track your daily reading on the Reading Calendar 3.) Students should bring in cash/check donations in a zip bag or sealed envelope & Sponsor form on Collection & Prize days. (see calendar) 4.) Our Read-A-Thon will be held during school on November 18th in classrooms. Help us reach our school goal of $15,000! Funds collected help pay for an artist-in-residency, field trips and other student activities. Ask your friends, families, neighbors, and co-workers to sponsor your child in the Parkside Read-A-Thon by making a donation. Donations can be cash, check or made online at s t o r y / P a rk s id e - Re a d - A Thon (online donors should indicate student s name to give students credit towards prizes)

Individual Prizes: Meet your reading goal & receive a certificate for Papa Murphy s Cookie Dough The student who reads the most in each class will win a $10 gift certificate to our Spring BOGO Book Fair (18 winners!) The student who raises the most money per grade level will win a Football Autographed by Minnesota Viking Blair Walsh (6 winners!) The student who raises the most money overall will win the Principal s Chair for a day For every $25 you bring in before Nov. 10th your name will be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate to: Huikko s Bowling Center, Classroom Prizes: Compete against other classrooms in your grade level! The Class in each grade with the highest amount raised will win a Glow Party during the Read-A-Thon! All other classrooms will receive a participation prize. The classroom with the highest percent of participation overall will receive a classroom party! School Prize: Raise $15,000 and teachers will duct tape the principal to the wall!
