1. Welcome 2. Brief Overview of Agency Enabled Donation Program 3. Program Requirements In General 4. Program Requirements In More Detail a. *NEW* Temperature Recording of Frozen/Refrigerated b. *NEW* Agency Enabled Contract 5. Donor Opportunities & Availability 6. Q&A/Wrap Up
CPFB develops relationship & coordinates schedule with donor. Agency picks up donations, free of charge, directly from the donor. Agency reports weight to CPFB weekly or monthly (minimum). CPFB reports weight to Feeding America. Feeding America uses the data to provide tax credits to national donors.

More pounds available to you. Products stay fresher, longer through direct pickups. No cost involved to you. Building relationships in your community. By reporting your pounds-received to Central PA Food Bank, you are able to track how much food you distribute. (Cost/pound decreases)
All agency partners participating in the program MUST sign an Agency Enabled Contract, which will be kept in the partner agency file. Completed contracts must be returned to the CPFB by September 30 th, All agency partners participating in the program must meet the minimum requirement of securing and maintaining food safety certification appropriate to its distribution type and agency-enabled program requirements. The ability to pick up, transport, process, store, and distribute donations on a regular basis with proper passive or active temperature control. The capacity to safely store donations (dry storage, refrigerator and/or freezer space) on site prior to distribution. Mandatory temperature taking/logging of all refrigerated and frozen food donations (including Prepared foods) with an Infrared Food Safety Thermometer (temperature gun). Log sheets must be maintained and kept on file for 3 years and are subject to inspection during site visit. All agency partners must weigh all donations, log the weight, and report poundage monthly by category (Bakery, Meat, Produce, Dry, etc.) for each donor.
Per the requirement of Feeding America, all CPFB agency partners participating in the agency-enabled donation program are required to complete an Agency Enabled Contract. This must be signed by the authorized contact of the partner agency, and will be kept in the agency file with the Agency Relations department. Agency partners who do not sign and abide by terms of the Agency Enabled Contract are subject to removal from the Agency Enabled Donation Program. The Agency Enabled Contract must be signed and returned to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank by September 30 th, 2017.
Per the requirement of Feeding America, and as added level of food safety for your clients, all time/temperature sensitive foods (refrigerated or frozen) collected through the Agency Enabled Donation Program MUST have temperatures taken from samples at time of pickup and again at time of delivery/upon return to agency. Temperatures must be recorded on a temperature log, and kept on file for 3 years. Temperature logs must be produced for inspection upon agency site visit. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank will provide an Infrared Food Safety Thermometer (temperature gun) to partner agencies participating in the Agency Enabled Donation Program who regularly pick up time/temperature sensitive foods. Donations that are not sensitive to time/temperature control (Bakery, Dry Goods, Produce) do not require temperature monitoring and/or temperature logs.
