EXCELLENCE Extent that the proposed work corresponds to the topic description Clarity and pertinence of the objectives Credibility of the proposed approach Soundness of the concept, including trans-disciplinary considerations, where relevant Extent that proposed work is ambitious, has innovation potential, and is beyond the state of the art 2. IMPACT Contribute at the European and/or International level Expected impacts listed in the work programme Enhancing innovation capacity and integration of new knowledge Strengthening the competitiveness and growth of companies by developing innovations Any other environmental and socially important impacts Effectiveness of the proposed measures to exploit and disseminate the project results IPR Management 3. 45 How to ensure success? SCORING 0 The proposal fails to address the criterion or cannot be assessed due to missing or incomplete information 1 Poor. The criterion is inadequately addressed, or there are serious inherent weaknesses. 2 Fair. The proposal broadly addresses the criterion, but there are significant weaknesses. 3 Good. The proposal addresses the criterion well, but a number of shortcomings are present. 4 Very good. The proposal addresses the criterion very well, but a small number of shortcomings are present. 5 Excellent. The proposal successfully addresses all relevant aspects of the criterion. Any shortcomings are minor

ESSENTIAL TIPS 1 DO plan for 6-12 months before. 2 DO work out your plans/costs properly. 3 Work with people you trust. 4 Yes - You will have to travel! 5 Only do something you actually want/were going to do. 6 Do ensure you meet criteria of the call. 7 Ensure your project is beyond the state of the art why? 8 Ensure you have clear plan for dissemination AND exploitation. 9 Do remember what this fund is about. 10 Have someone proof read your bid to ensure clarity AND hit BOTH 7+above. 11 Do go for it!...and don't moan you will get something out of it.
