3 Project overview Project title: Smart Energy Businesses for Greater Lincolnshire Value: 9.3m Targeted outputs: businesses supported 2. Greenhouse gas savings of 2,489 tco2e Start date: 01/01/2018 End date: 31/01/2021 Key objectives: 1.To establish a one stop shop offering a full range of energy support services to SMEs in the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership area; and 2.To facilitate investment in energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy for local authorities in Greater Lincolnshire, with a focus on the North East Lincolnshire Council corporate estate.

Delivery model The project comprises of six distinct Work Package areas: WP0 WP1 WP2 WP3 WP4 WP5 Project management and governance Marketing and engagement Technical support for businesses Energy efficiency grants for businesses Investment in public infrastructures Collaboration with Northamptonshire County Council s SEB

10 Support available to businesses Through Work Packages 2 (Technical support for businesses) and 3 (Energy efficiency grants for businesses) Providing a business can demonstrate that it is a micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME), it can benefit from the following two business support activities: 1.12 hours of energy engagement, provided through training, workshops, energy networking and Material Flow Management Master Planning; and 2.An energy efficiency grant to contribute 38% of the total installation costs of an energy saving project. (E.g. a business could receive 38,000 to contribute towards a 100,000 lighting replacement project.) A total of 2.9m investment in energy efficiency will be facilitated through this activity.

12 Support available to local authorities Through Work Package 4 (Investment in public infrastructures) Local authorities are able to benefit from investment in energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy for their public buildings. Through utilisation of ERDF grant and the Salix Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme, projects will be delivered at no cost to local authorities. A total of 3.8m of investment will be facilitated through this activity. Although all local authorities in Greater Lincolnshire are able to benefit from funding, work has already begun on identifying suitable schemes for North East Lincolnshire Council s public buildings

13 Investment Grade Audit has identified North East Lincolnshire s priority buildings, and the Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) suitable for installation. A suite of ECMs have therefore been proposed for each building. Their installation is fully funded by the project, at no cost to the Council.
