4 Status of Programme in Kerala YEAR PLAN (YP) Started in May 2014, monitored by NIRD & Kudumbashree Total Target under was 21,200 and Project cost was Rs Crores Eight Projects were awarded ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (AAP) Started in September 2014, monitored by Kudumbashree. Total Training Target was 30,000 and Project cost was Rs Crores 23 Projects were awarded on 26/02/2015 & 4 Projects on 20/09/2015 ACTION PLAN (AP) YP and AAP was merged into AP on 21 st December, NIRD transferred the Projects to Kudumbashree. After Revised Common Cost Norms, target is 51,200 and Project cost is Rs Crores. 4

8 Beneficiary index built using SECC 2011 to allocate DDUGKY targets to Districts 1.Households without shelter 2. Destitute/living on alms 3. Manual scavengers 4. Primitive Tribal Groups 5. Legally released bonded labourers The Poorest of the Poor ( Ultra Poor ) 1. Households with only one room, Kucha walls and Kucha roof; 2. No adult members between ages of 16 and Female headed households with no adult male member between 16 and 59; 4. Households with disabled member and no able bodied member 5. SC/ST Households 6. Households with no literate adult above 25 years 7. Landless households deriving a major part of their income from manual casual labour. Addresses the urban bias in PIA driven approach to setting district targets. Ruralness (R) as the Percentage of population considered Rural in the District..N = Total Number of auto-included households in the District + Total Number of households which have at least 4 or more Deprivations.R = 1 - (Total Urban Population of a district/ Total population of the district) 20 July

No. Activity District Description of Activities 1 Awards for best performance Conducted in all 14 Districts Awards for best performing PIA, Students, Teacher etc. 2 Placement Drive Kollam Placement drive was organised, in which 10 companies participated and 46 candidates were short listed. 3 Cultural Programme Conducted in all 14 Districts 4 Skill Competition Conducted in all 14 Districts 5 Craft making Training Kasaragode and wayanad All the districts conducted various cultural programmes, like Dance, songs, poem writing, Miming, etc.., Skill Competitions like, Table setting, Constructing wall, Assembling Engine, Typing Speed, Handicraft exhibitions, Training on craft making, Talent exhibitions etc... were organized as part of Skill competition Craft making from the waste materials, like plastic bottles, straw, paper, etc..., 20 July

For awareness creation of DDU GKY, massages on environment protection,mosquito born diseases,water conservation.etc 11 Seminar Palakkad The youth skill day event celebration was started in the morning with a walkathon.. More than 300 people participated in the event. 20 July

No. Activity District Description of Activities 12 Skill canvas Palakkad To make the public aware about the importance of skilling, skill canvas was erected. 13 Skill Day Rally Idukki Skill day Rally organized with the support of students from Quess Corp Ltd. s Training centre in Idukki. The rally began from the centre and reached Kanjar Town and returned to centre. 70 students from the centre participated in the rally and a message also was given to the students on Skill day. 14 Walkathon: Palakkad The youth skill day event celebration was started in the morning with a walkathon.. More than 300 people participated in the event. Pluck cards, balloons, and sinkarielam used to catch the attention of general public. 15 Street Play, Photography contest, Article about innovative skilling model and Innovative Videos on skills Thiruvan anthapur am Street Play, Photography contest, Article about innovative Skilling Model and Innovative videos on Skilling. 20 July
