(Attached) The contract is in connection with a grant from the Accountability Court Funding Committee, and provides $328,78 in state funds to support the activities of Drug Court between July 1, 215 and June 3, 216. There is a $36,532 County match required. The document requires final approval from the County Attorney prior to the Chairman signing the contract. FUNDING: Funding match will come from the Drug Court FY16 budget. ALTERNATIVES: 1. Approve the contract subject to final approval from the County Attorney. Once the contract is executed, funds can be secured to support the activities of Drug Court. 2. Disapprove the contract. The contract cannot be executed and funds will not be available. 3. Defer the request. Funds will not be available until the contract is executed. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends Alternative 1 to approve the contract and authorize the Chairman to execute the document upon approval from the County Attorney. The subgrantee must submit Subgrant Adjustment Request #1 with the completed award package. The adjustment request must be accompanied by a detailed project budget that itemizes all projected expenditures as approved by the Accountability Court Funding Committee. The project budget and summary will not be established, or officially approved, until the subgrantee receives a written approval notice from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. Subgrant Expenditure Reports are due 15 days after the end of the qu. 8. The subgrantee certifies that state funds will not be used to supplant funds that would otherwise be made available for grant-funded initiatives. State funds must be used to supplement existing funds for program activities and not replace funds appropriated for the same purpose. Potential supplanting will be the subject of application review, as well as pre-award review, post-award monit in non-s a anticipa 1 --~ r- ing, and audit. This report shall explain whether the CSB will be providing treatment for your court at their norma te and whether or not they will only include your partici the treatment groups..
