1 1 Girl Talk Jewels (September May) Serving middle and high school girls who have graduated from TTFS and are now honing leadership skills through workshops, community activities, fundraisers Tailoring Teens For Success (TTFS) Fall 2018 (September 2018 March 2019) based on volunteering at ONE curriculum session Serving up to 25 middle school girls in an 18-week character-building & leadership development program in uptown Charlotte space. Curriculum runs on Saturdays 10am 1pm. Curriculum is broken up into two semesters. TTFS Graduation Brunch (March) ONE DAY EVENT Serving up to 25 middle and high school girls & their families during curriculum graduation ceremony at off-site venue. Maximum capacity: 130 Duties Time Required Planning Time Quarterly Create, coordinate community service Quarterly meeting 2.5 hours 2 hrs per quarter 4.5 hours projects & fundraisers Saturdays 9:30am-Noon Execute community service projects & fundraisers Assist w/room set up/ clean up, 4 hours (includes set up/clean 30 minute prep 4 hours outdoor signage (if needed) up) before session Distribute hand-outs & other programming material Volunteering at all 18 weeks is NOT required Manage student/parent check-in Assist facilitators Run AV equipment during session Food pick up & set up Assist as parking attendant Manage, coordinate and execute community service project Manage table check-in OFF-SITE, Saturday 4 hours, One-time 1 hr N/A 9am- Noon Assist with set-up & cleanup Assist with setting up decorations Stuff graduation gift bags
2 2 College Tour (March) ONE DAY EVENT Serving up to 40 middle and high school girls on day- long tour of two local colleges/universities Prom Project (March) Serving up to 500+ high school girls with collection and distribution of gently- used prom dresses and accessories; also assisting girls at etiquette workshop PRE-EVENT Serve as chaperone; assist with checkin One day 8.5 hrs 2 hrs = N/A Saturday 7:30am-5pm 1 hr prepping materials One-time 1hr Set up & clean up Organize & hand-out program materials Hand out t-shirt & drawstring bags Stuff bags (prior to event) Snack pick- up & drop off Duties (Pre Event & Day Of) Time Required Planning Time Monthly Collection Site Volunteer * Set up location with program materials provided. * Close site at end of collection Road Show Volunteer (based on one road show) * Set up & man Girl Talk table at preselected high school site * Pick up/drop off GT table collateral from GT office 2 hours total 1hr to set up site 1 hr to close site 3.5 hours - weekday High School Lunch Period 11am -1:30 pm plus 30 minute set-up and cleanup 1 hour as needed A 30-minute 1-1 with PP lead 3 hours total 4 hours/road show
3 3 Prom Project (Continued) Serving up to 500+ high school girls with collection and distribution of gently- used prom dresses and accessories; also assisting girls at etiquette workshop Prom Project EVENT DAY Registration * Check-in girls at designate times * Manage wait list and communicate to leads available capacity Facilitator Assistant * Assist facilitator as needed including set-up of props and chair * Keep traffic of girls moving from on station to the next Dressing Room Assistant * Keep dressing room in order by clearing dresses as needed and keep traffic moving * Assist girls with dresses * Bag dresses Timekeeper - Keep track of sessions Event Day - 8 hours 8:30-4:30pm Dress Sorter - Assist with sorting, choice of over 3-weeks tagging and placing gowns on hangers VIP Assistant * Assist VIP Coordinator with arrival of VIP * Set-up and cleanup of VIP reception area * Escort VIP through day events including pick-up of preselected items and curbside drop-off and departure Event Day - 8 hours 8:30-4:30pm, one hour

5 5 Committee Overview *monthly or bi-monthly one-hour s, based on need* Development (DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE) - Assist with creating, and advising on the organization's fundraising activities; able to seek and secure sponsors for various GT events/programs. Event Planning (SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE) - Assist in the coordination of Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. (GTF) programs or events venue recruitment, décor, registration, contract development, printing, sponsorship acquisitions, site management. Help develop and manage (in conjunction with Executive Director, the Board, and Fundraising Committee) event budget for each event; able to oversee events/projects; able to works with administrative staff to ensure execution of event administrative requirements; evaluates and closes out events; collaborates with Program and Marketing/PR to ensure program and event success. General Volunteer Pool - Assist on site day of event where needed; serve as back up or emergency. Programming (STRATEGIC PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE)- Review and update current programs, create program agendas and strategies for program events; make recommendations for program updates; help develop evaluations. Public Relations/Marketing (MARKETING COMMITTEE ) - Assist in creating press kits, news releases as required in conjunction with Foundation programs; create marketing tools and paraphernalia. Serve as speakers bureau for GTF and represent Girl Talk at speaking engagements. Generate ideas for marketing campaigns. Volunteer Management (volunteer engagement experience required) Develops, oversees and advises on volunteer activities; creates, updates and distributes biweekly e-newsletter for volunteers and board members; assists with development of overall volunteer process. Web Management (TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE) - Make recommendations for enhancement of GTF website; make periodic updates to the website that reflect current programming details, and PR promotions; make recommendations required to resolve web issues and repairs.
