Center faculty will provide grantees with research mentorship and technical assistance. The program is designed to support emerging gerontological scholars in conducting community-engaged, interdisciplinary research that benefits diverse, underrepresented older adults and their families. Priority will be given to proposals that: 1) are consistent with the mission and aims of the Center (see Mission statement below); 2) demonstrate the potential to effect positive change in practice or policy with under-represented older adults; 3) are feasible based on the budget and timeline; and, 4) aim to generate preliminary data to support future applications for federal or foundation grant funding.
