2 AusBiotech is Australia s industry organisation, working on behalf of members for more than 30 years to provide representation and services to promote the global growth of Australian biotechnology. 3 AusBiotech members receive: Strong representation to governments AusBiotech works to shape public policy and strengthen Australia s hard-won momentum in the life sciences. Extensive experience in advocating via the media, government submissions, working groups and faceto-face meetings with government representatives and parliamentarians, enables AusBiotech to present key industry issues to influential decision makers and deliver real-world benefits to the Australian life sciences. The annual CEO Industry Position Survey and related roundtable meetings shape AusBiotech s advocacy efforts, gaguing CEOs views on the operating environment, sentiment, financing plans and policy issues. Media, communication and industry information AusBiotech speaks regularly with the media on industry issues, providing more than 200 articles annually. AusBiotech keeps members up to date with industry news and current affairs via social media, the website (ausbiotech.org), an e-bulletin twice a week from Biotech Dispatch (biotechdispatch.com.au) and the tri-annual journal, Australasian Biotechnology. LinkedIn resources include the public page, AusBiotech, and two exlusive groups, AusBiotech, Australia s Biotechnology Organisation and AusMedtech Australian Medical technology. 4 Enjoy exclusive access to: Networking events and conferences AusBiotech hosts more than 50 events each year to foster learning and vital connection, including the flagship AusBiotech national conference and specialty conferences, such as the Tech Transfer Summit and the AusMedtech. Active state committees meet regularly to share information, network and advance industry issues. More than 4,000 people attend state-based events each year. ausbiotech.org/events International missions and investor events AusBiotech plays a pivotal role in connecting people to do business and, in the last year alone, facilitated over 1,500 one-on-one business meetings. International delegations are conducted each year to the largest global exhibitions, such as BIO in the USA. AusBiotech Investment runs an international calendar of investment events to showcase companies for investment and partnership opportunities. Major events include: Asia Biotech Invest, held in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and Australia Biotech Invest, held during October in Melbourne. ausbiotech.org/investment AusEvents AusEvents (life sciences & technology events) is a division of AusBiotech and professional organiser of conferences and events. AusEvents won the bid to host the International Biotechnology Symposium (IBS) in Melbourne, which was held as part of the International BioFest 2016, the largestever gathering in the Australian life sciences. ausbiotech.org/ausevents AusBiotech has recently developed the Roadmap to a Successful IPO for Life Sciences Companies aimed at preparing life sciences companies that are investor-ready or planning to become investor-ready for an initial public offering (IPO). AusBiotech launched the new Life Sciences Sector Snapshot 2017 it commissioned to provide a comprehensive overview of the life sciences sector within Australia, which revealed the magnitude of the life sciences sector for the first time.

5 AusMedtech AusMedtech, part of AusBiotech, is the national industry group representing the medical devices and diagnostics industry sector in Australia. AusMedtech is dedicated to the development, growth and prosperity of the Australian medical technology industry. It has a national advisory group with three sub-committees, two state-based advisory groups and the Stoma Industry Group. Together with AusMedtech, AusBiotech facilitates trade in medical devices by providing much needed information to Australian companies. With the support of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and funding from the Asian Business Engagement (ABE) Plan, the Australian Medical Devices & Diagnostics to China project has been launched, which includes the Guide for Australian medical technology companies seeking to engage in China, the AusBiotech directory of Australian medtech companies and the Directory of Known of Known China Advisors. Australia s premier medical technology conference AusMedtech 2018, will be held in Adelaide (1-2 May), bringing together key stakeholders and researchers of the Australian and international medical devices and diagnostics sector. ausmedtech.com.au AusAg & Foodtech AusAg & Foodtech is a special advisory group representing agricultural biotechnology and food technology, and biotechnology s contribution to the food development process in Australia, from the farm to the plate. AusBiotech is a founding member of the Agricultural Biotechnology Council of Australia (ABCA), a national representative organisation for agricultural biotechnology. ABCA is a joint initiative of AusBiotech, CropLife Australia and the National Farmers Federation. abca.com.au AusAg & Foodtech 2018 (3-4 Sep) is Australia s business of science conference in food and agritech, putting the spotlight on innovation and technology in the agriculture and food industries. agfoodtech.com.au
