Those members who have not been awarded ISGPB fellowship can apply for these awards and fellowship. Distinguished persons can also be nominated by Fellows for electing Honorary Fellows. The criteria for electing/selecting the fellowship or the award is appended with the Performa. The nominations for the fellowship/awards can also be sent through secretaryisgpb@gmail.com. The last date for receiving the nomination is 31 st May, I also wish to draw kind attention of the esteemed members that, off late we are facing lot problems in updating the bio data of the members. Bhat Memorial Award for Best Research Paper published from the Ph.D. Thesis. Candidates from any Public or Private Scientific Institution can be nominated for award. A Fellow will be nominated by an existing fellow of the Society from among those who have been Life members of ISGPB for a minimum of 5 years. II. A Fellow of ISGPB may make no more than three nominations in a year for the fellowship in the prescribed proforma with supportive evidence of the suitability of the nominee for fellowship. Fellows will be inducted on the basis of their contributions to the field of Genetics & Plant Breeding by the Committee constituted by Executive Committee for this purpose. III. A maximum of 20 Fellows will be inducted in a year. The actual number of fellows to be inducted each year, however, will be decided by Executive Committee every year based on the recommendations of the committee constituted for selection of fellows IV. A scientist who is not a life member of the ISGPB or has not completed 5 years as a life member can also be nominated as an Honorary Member if he/she has such exceptional and outstanding contribution in the fields of Genetics and Plant Breeding. In this case also the nomination accepted by the EC will be based on the recommendation of the designated committee. V. Awards and honours (National and International awards based on scientific work) Peer Reviewed recognitions such as Fellowship in academies and scientific societies, awards for excellent teaching, office bearer of major Academy/Society, Editor of reputed Journals etc. 3.
