1 SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION Welcome to the Immigrant Justice Fellowship 2018 Application The Immigrant Justice Fellowship is an eight-month, part time fellowship across six regions in the state of California. Fellows will be placed in the following regions: Orange County, Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Central Valley, Silicon Valley, and Sacramento. Fellows will be partnered with a host organization in their local region for a total of 20/hrs per week. There will be one fellow per region. The fellowship will begin in January of 2018 and conclude in August of Fellows will be placed in social justice organizations throughout California and work closely with their host organization to incorporate and strengthen the inclusion of immigrant justice issues in conjunction with the organization s social justice work. Immigrant Justice fellows will receive a monthly leadership award of $2,000. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Before you begin, read the Application Guide and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) and/or visit our website. 2. COLLECT all required information and documents before completing your application. 3. At the end of this online application, you will be asked to: Provide two professional references. Upload ONE document with your resume and essay responses. Essay prompts can be found at the end of the application guide. 4. Use the bottom arrows at the bottom to navigate through the application. 5. The progress bar at the top indicates your level of completion. 6. Be as accurate as possible and check for errors. Read all examples. 7. If you need to continue working on your application, it will automatically save where you last left off until fully completed. 8. In total, it will take 45 to 90 minutes to fully complete the application, including uploading your documents. NOTE: The fellowship is NOT an extension of Dream Summer. It is a completely separate
