3 Our Speakers Mary Motsenbocker President & Owner, International Tourism Marketing, Inc. (ITM) Mary founded and leads International Tourism Marketing, Inc. (ITM) in 1990 a company focused on international destination marketing, meeting and event planning. ITM also owns and produces Go West Summit and Go China Summit, destination marketing conferences for international travel producers. Gary J Schluter General Manager, Rocky Mountain Holiday Tours LLC Gary is the founder and General Manager of Rocky Mountain Holiday Tours, the largest regional receptive operator for the American West. Mr. Schluter is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the International Inbound Travel Association (IITA) and is an appointed member of the e US Travel and Tourism Advisory Board and sits on the Visa Evaluation Committee. Julie Heizer Deputy Director, Industry Relations, National Travel and Tourism Office Julie has 30+ years experience in the travel and tourism industry, primarily focused on destination marketing. She has a strong understanding of the international marketplace and its impact for the U.S. and Indian Country including the top European markets for the U.S. U.K. and Germany. 1

4 Our Speakers Donatello Osti U.S. Commercial Services, Italy Emerson Vallo (Acoma Pueblo) AIANTA Board Member Donatello has extensive knowledge of the Italian Travel Marketplace through his work with Showcase USA Italy. His background in international relations and economics has informed his work in tourism. He brings a depth of understanding of the Italian market and why it is ideal for Indian Country. Donatello will be joining Go International from Milan, Italy. Emerson is an appointed Commissioner and Native Representative to the New Mexico Tourism Department. He has hands on experience in developing and marketing a must see destination in his previous work as the Director of Acoma s Sky City Cultural Center and Haak u Museum. Emerson represents AIANTA s Southwest Region on AIANTA s Board of Directors. Sandra Anderson (Navajo Nation) NativeAmerica.travel Co Manager, AIANTA Sandra brings her knowledge and expertise in community, regional and indigenous planning to her role as Co Manager of NativeAmerica.Travel. NativeAmerica.Travel is the first and only destination website dedicated to Indian Country Tourism. Sandra contributed to the successful launch and continued growth of NativeAmerica.Travel. 2

Chehak (Klamath Tribe) Membership and Development Coordinator, AIANTA Rachel Cromer Howard Public Relations and Media Specialist, AIANTA Gail has raised funds from tribes, federal and state programs, foundations, corporations and has served on review panels for ANA, AmeriCorps, the NPS Historic Preservation Fund for Indian Tribes and more. She coauthored Native Peoples of the NW: Traveler s Guide to Land, Art & Culture, while serving as Arts & Tourism Coordinator for the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians. Rachel has extensive experience marketing Indian Country tourism locally, nationally and internationally. She has participated in AIANTA s booth at IPW, Showcase USA Italy and at ITB Berlin. She brings her practical, working knowledge of how to work effectively with the media as you enter the international market. 3

8 Who we are AIANTA is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit association of Native American tribes and tribal businesses, organized in 1999, to advance Indian Country tourism. The purpose of AIANTA is to serve as the voice and resource for its constituents in advancing tourism, assist tribes in creating infrastructure and capacity, provide technical assistance, training and educational resources to tribes, tribal organizations and tribal members. AIANTA serves as the liaison between Indian Country and governmental and private entities for the development, growth, and sustenance of Indian Country tourism. By developing and implementing programs and providing opportunities, AIANTA helps tribes build for their future while sustaining and strengthening their cultural legacies.
