3 SUMMARY OF DISCUSSION DISCUSSION POINTS Follow up on action points fro previous eeting ACTION REQUIRED (by WHO and WHEN) Followed up on previous cluster eeting was discussed. Progress sharing by Cluster ebers UNICEF is supporting education in Jalozai, Togh Sarai and New Durrani Caps through PDMA and Education departents of KP and FATA. In off cap, UNICEF, through its ipleenting partners (Hayat Foundation and HDOD), is supporting education of ore than 40,000 children in D.I. Khan and Banu districts. PADO and Musli Aid are supporting education in Tehsil Bara with ERF funding. FDMA highlighted the Education needs in areas of return in Sepah of Khyber agency where school tents and teaching-learning aterial is needed in 32 fully daaged schools. National education huanitarian echanis was requested to convene a eeting with donors for education cluster ebers to discuss and share education needs in FATA. Non-issuance, and short-duration NOC issue was raised by ajority of cluster ebers which haper the in-tie initiation of activities and progress on the ground. Cluster ebers were infored that the NOC issue has been taken up at the hilghest level of HRT and HCT. Updates in this regard will be shared with the cluster ebers. Issue of non-availability of books and schools bags for students of Jalozai was also highlighted. 3

4 DISCUSSION POINTS Right to Play, PEAD, CRS and IMC infored about their intervention in various parts of KP. Following link provides inforation on PEAD activities: Day-One-Peshawar ACTION REQUIRED (by WHO and WHEN) Cluster targets and Funding Situation for Year 2016 For the year 2016, Education cluster has indicated a funding need of $ 10.2 illion. In addition, $1.1 illion will be required for refurbishent of 364 schools ($3,000/school) in return areas. UNICEF has secured funding of approxiately one illion USD to support EIE of soe 50,000 IDP children. Cluster ebers will reach to approxiately 7,000 children with PHPF funding of $350,000. Education reporting in 2016; 1) 4WS for 2016; 2) Progress onitoring atrix as per SRP 2016; 3) Funding Sheet 4WS for year 2015 is consolidated and subitted to OCHA. For year 2016, cluster ebers were requested to use the existing forat and share the progress. Meanwhile the progress onitoring echanis for SRP 2016 is being developed to track the progress on SRP Cluster ebers were encouraged to increase the fund obilization efforts to reach the unreached children through the EIE. Cluster ebers were requested to provided updates on 4WS and funding inforation by 5 th Feb Education Cluster Work Plan 2016 and Education Cluster ToR Education is updating TOR of cluster and work plan for Cluster ebers will be requested to give their inputs. Education cluster to share TOR and work plan of Education cluster for 2016 for inputs fro Cluster ebers. 4

5 DISCUSSION POINTS ACTION REQUIRED (by WHO and WHEN) Consultation on Coon Platfor for Education in eergencies and Protracted Eergencies Following the cluster eeting, Education cluster conducted a consultation session on the proposed Coon Platfor for EiE and Protracted Crises. The participants at the consultation were national, international NGOs, and the Education Departent official. After a brief orientation on the whole process, the participants were divided into three groups to provide feedback. It was a three-hour long inter-active group work after which each group ade a presentation. The feedback fro the participants will be consolidated to share the report with INEE by 5 th Feb Education cluster to send the report on consultation to INEE by 5 th Feb
