3 Step 1: Defining ideas Ideas should be based on REAL NEEDS of the organisation Is the idea suitable with FP7 thematics? YES: OK No: alternative financing sources Has the idea got an european dimension? YES: OK No: alternative financing sources

4 Step 2: Working Programme Document describing the FP7 priorities in the concerned area Does our idea fit to the WP priorities? YES: clearly describing the relevance of our idea to the FP7 priorities in the process of project writing; Contacting partners; Writing of the project abstract; Contacting the NCP for project idea validation and in order to find suitable partners No: as far as possible, adapting our objectives in order to fit to those of the Commission

5 Step 3: Call We are interested in Budget, call fiche, type of project (financing scheme) Is the indicative budget enough so that our proposal has real chances of being financed? YES: setting up the maximum budget of the project according to the indicative budget, the type of project and the Commission s intention on the number of projects to be financed No: waiting for another call

6 Step 3: Call Are the objectives of the call fiche corresponding to ours? YES: clearly describing the correspondence in project writing process No: as far as possible, adapting the project Are the financing schemes indicated corresponding to our objectives? YES: selecting the most appropriate one, calling for the preparatory meeting No: waiting for a new call

EPSS: Proposal structure Proposal Part A (forms) oa1 (coordinator) name of the proposal, acronym, goals, key words, abstract, indication if the proposal has already been submitted oa2 (partners) address, type of organization, PIC oa3 (coordinator) budget details. Proposal Part B (text) odocument with tables, written in a predetermined format oformat is different for different instruments and from call to call!
