1 BIG Day of Giving Incentive Pool Prizes Prize challenges are an exciting and fun way organizations can win money during May 5! There are 92 challenges for all participating organizations with over $124,000 up for grabs, not including additional prize challenges for specific groups. RULES 1. Participating nonprofits must follow the rules and instructions posted for each challenge. Failure to do so may disqualify you (i.e. forgetting to add a hashtag to a social media challenge post) 2. Some prizes (indicated below) are available only for organizations that fall into a specific category. These categories are determined by the sponsoring organization. When a challenge has additional prizes for specific groups, and your organization qualifies for more than one, if you are the winner of the challenge, your organization will win the challenge with the highest prize offered. In the event that the prize amounts are the same, your organization will win the specific group challenge. Example: ABC organization raises the most donations overall (Grand Prize Challenge) and wins $5,000. ABC organization is now ineligible to win any other prizes offered for the same challenge from additional specific groups. Specific groups with additional prize challenges. A list of organizations in these categories will be posted soon. Participating nonprofits that are physically headquartered and serve Placer County Participating nonprofits that are physically headquartered and serve Yolo County Participating arts nonprofits that are physically headquartered and serve Sacramento County All participating arts nonprofits 3. For all social media challenges, please refer to each challenge for the rules of that challenge. 1
2 4. Challenge winners will be posted on the leaderboard tab titled "Prizes All". We will also announce winners on the GiveLocalNow Facebook and Twitter accounts throughout the day. 6. Prize challenges are subject to change. Not all prize challenge winners will be determined and announced during the 24-hour event, and all announced prizes are subject to verification. In the event of a tie, a prize will be split evenly among winners. 7. A unique donor is defined as one donation from one donor. 8. Gifts made to your organization through a Donor Advised Fund at any of the partner Community Foundations we be entered into your leaderboard totals at 8:00 pm and are not counted toward prize challenges with the exception of the following challenges: Leaderboard Prize Challenges 100% Board Giving Challenge 9. For video challenges, nonprofits may enter as many times as they like, as long as requirements of posting are followed. (see challenges below for details) 10. Some challenges are designated with multiple winners based on organization size. Size is based on the most current financials (total revenues) submitted on GivingEdge profiles and are tiered into small, medium and large organizations as follows: Small Organizations: Revenues below $250,000 Medium Organizations: Revenues between $250,000 - $1,000,000 Large Organizations: Revenues above $1,000,000 2
