4 THE EVENT This coming November America, Africa and Europe will converge on the island of Tenerife to celebrate the XXI CON- FERENCE FOR THE FREE ECONOMIC ZONES OF THE AMERICAS. For the first time, the Association of Free Economic Zones of the Americas (AZFA) will move its annual assembly to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean and, in the process, making the Canaries the capital of tricontinentality from the 1 st to the 3 rd of November The conference will be focus on innovation and will evaluate the role of Free Economic Zones in the 21 st century in the new global context. It will also be the perfect chance to promote investment opportunities offered by all three continents in the free zone for businessmen and investors; as such a business roundtable will unite around 300 businessmen who can explain their interest in the setting of this event. We will count on a group of high-level panelists and we have produced a renewed schedule which will allow us to open up discussion with the aim of making this encounter a memorable event that will stand out as an inflection point in the strengthening of the free zone among the three continents as an innovative investment platform.

6 ORGANISING COMMITTEE The Association of Free Economic Zones of the Americas (AZFA) is a nonprofit organisation which, in its regional context, promotes and defends the Free Economic Zone regime through integration, research and cooperation with the public and private sectors of all the countries of Latin America and Iberoamerica.
