3 PROMOTE VM Popularisation of Value Analysis - Value Analysis technical presentation at the University of Dunaújváros, in the frame of the Week of Science University of Kaposvár in the frame of the 6 th International Conference of Economic Sciences, Kaposvár, 4 th May 2017: Development of the fertilization of potato through the method of Value Analysis - Gépipari Tudományos Egyesület (Scientific Society of Mechanical Engineering, Hungary) in the frame of the II. 4 ADVOCATE VM Representation of Value Analysis - SHVA represents the Company s interests in the following organizations: Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Budapest (BKIK) In 2013 the SHVA and BKIK signed a Cooperation Contract which is beneficial for both parties. BKIK provides rooms for our events on 12 occasions in a year. This allows us to organize events of high prestige with infrastructure of BKIK. 4

5 CERTIFY VM Certification activity relating to value analysis - Most successful actions of SHVA include the introduction of education of Module I and the implementation of AVS certification. - Member of the SHVA Certification Board Chairman holds a detailed account in connection with CERTIFY VM. - According to statistics, cca individuals acquire AVS certification. We are looking forward to new ways of training (e-learning, remote learning, etc.) - Our new task to change our Certification Program. Budapest Business School implemented VMA certification for their students. 5

6 EDUCATE VM Education of Value Analysis - Cca. 90% of the training is held in higher schools. - Currently, 4 institutions of higher education and 2 accredited companies are engaged in the education of value analysis, the training is held and managed fulltime University-teachers. - Currently, 14 persons have a valid CVS certifications among the SHVA members in Hungary and 2 persons no SHVA members. 6

7 Future plans - Organizing an International VA/VE/VM Conference in Budapest, April Supported by the SAVE Intl. & the EGB. - Organizing professional programs (Professional Days) twice a year. - Support ON-LINE teaching materials for trainings and teaching. - Participation in the development of Value Management standards with team CEN/TC279. 7

8 Factors promoting and/or hindering the expansion of applied fields of Value Analysis Promoting factors of value analysis-related applied fields expansion are: - the involvement of certified domestic professionals; - the launch of professional further trainings. To achieve these, a strategy is being planned with the purpose to grant opportunities for VMA professionals for gaining experience in the forthcoming years in order to have their current certificates extended. 8

9 Further tasks - 99% of Hungarian economic companies are small or medium sized enterprises (SMEs). - Their number amounts to some 700, It would be useful to introduce Value Analysis at these companies too so that more and more of them (SMEs) could enhance their activities and thereby assist reducing unemployment in the country. 9
