Creation of a Start-Up Award for technical solutions and innovations in the ehealth / Telemedicine sector In cooperation with sponsors, the ISfTeH will tender a Start-Up Award for technical solutions and innovations in the ehealth/telemedicine sector, which will be realized through the worldwide network. The intended timing looks as follows: The invitation to participate in this Award will be communicated within the Conference Med-e-Tel. The selected projects and Award winners would be presented during the worldwide annual Telemedicine Conference, which will take place next year in Chennai/India from October 20/21,

7 Next steps: 2. Creation of a Start-Up Award for technical solutions and innovations in the ehealth / Telemedicine sector During the period between these two conferences, a jury (in which sponsors participate) would review and judge the proposals received. Sponsors could get in touch with interesting applicants directly. In addition to positioning, PR and networking, this project would offer participating companies the great opportunity to determine the topic of the Award and to see interesting innovations and/or meet startups. We are actually looking for sponsors / business partners. Discussions are in progress with several potential partners, but we are very open to establish new contacts concerning this very interesting project. 7

Increase number of members (especially «national» and «institutional») Inform the entire ISfTeH-network on a regular base about new strategy and activities to ensure their further motivation and engagement Initiate a campaign and approach national societies and institutions directly Acquire new members by increasing the information flow Support the ISfTeH-network in acquiring new members 8
