Register online at your application to tvgt@tvcc.cc Talent Show Highlights: No Full Instrumental Bands (Duo Maximum) $5.00 Entry fee per act. Checks made payable to TVCC. Two divisions Junior Division (Ages 16 & Under) and Senior Division (17 & Above) Finalists will perform in the TVGT Finale Performance May 8 th, 2014 at the FRCC Theater at 6:30pm. Grand Prize for each division is an all-expense paid trip to BartPro Studios in Portland, OR for a professional studio (one song) recording.

2 2013 Talent Show Rules and Regulations Treasure Valley Community College reserves the right to dismiss any talent application if it does not fit the mission of the college, is not appropriate for a public audience, or violates any administrative, student, or Four Rivers Cultural Center rule or regulation. COMPETITION CRITERIA The Talent Competition Committee must approve all entrants before performing on stage. Previous grand prize winners are not eligible to enter the competition. The Talent Competition Committee must accept all performances (lyrics, dialog, costuming and dance) as appropriate for an all-ages audience and fits the mission of Treasure Valley Community College and the Four Rivers Cultural Center. Entries that do not conform to the Competition Rules and Regulations and/or do not provide complete and accurate information on the Competition Application Form will not be considered for competition. Entrants must observe all rules and regulations. Treasure Valley Community College and the Talent Competition Committee reserve the right to remove from the talent show any entrant refusing to follow the rules and regulations of this competition. The Talent Competition is open to amateurs only. Union musicians or those whose talent provides more than 50 percent of their income (if income exceeds $7,500.00) are not permitted to enter. Contestants will be required to certify in writing that they are amateur and may be required to submit tax information. Vocal contestants may use a recorded accompaniment track with vocal background, but there shall be no lead or dominant vocals on the track. For recorded accompaniment, a CD with only one track is recommended. If an IPOD is utilized during the auditions, it will be recommended that the track is burned to a Compact Disc prior to the final competition. Cassette tapes will not be an acceptable form of recorded accompaniment. Bring a second CD as a back-up in case of malfunctions. (Caution: Not all self-made CD s are readable on all sound equipment) The house system is used for all performances requiring sound and will be scaled to the venue use and reasonable requirements of the performer. The talent competition stage manager has complete control of the sound system. Provided stage plot form must be completed and returned with your entry application. No modifications of stage acts, equipment or sound specifications are allowed without written approval of the Talent Competition Committee and Stage Manager. Unauthorized modifications will result in immediate disqualification. Each participant on stage will receive two passes for the dates of final performance. The Junior Division participants will receive one additional pass for an adult chaperone. A changing area with mirror will be available. A piano will not be available. Each performer in a group or act must provide required information and signatures (can be on one application) 6. Performances may not exceed 3:30 minutes. 7. No Full Instrumental Bands will be allowed in the talent competition (Duo Maximum). 8. Included with application must be the lyrics of act (no exceptions) and a photo of performer/group if available. 9. No substitutions (of performers) will be allowed between the auditions and the final performance. The performance (song/act) submitted at the audition must be the same performance (song/act) performed at the final performance. 10. Treasure Valley Community College has permission to use photos in the future on the website or in publications without notice or compensation to me. All digital images, negatives, positives and prints shall become the sole and complete property of Treasure Valley Community College. By signing this application, representing myself and /or my child, I agree to acceptance of all rules, regulations and releases of said competition stated in the Talent Competition Rules, and Regulations and in the Treasure Valley Community College Rules and Regulations published at We certify that no person listed on this contract belongs to a musicians union nor does any persons talent provide more than 50 percent of his/her income (if income exceeds $7,500).
