Promote the development of a diverse, globally engaged U.S. scientific and engineering workforce. Strengthen the capacity of U.S. institutions to engage in and benefit from international research and education collaborations.

20 Slide 20 Mentoring Plan for Postdoctoral Researchers Each proposal that requests funding to support postdoctoral researchers must include a description of the mentoring activities that will be provided for such individuals.

21 Slide 21 Data Management Plan All proposals must describe plans for data management and sharing of the products of research, or assert the absence of the need for such plans.

22 Slide 22 Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research Each institution that applies for financial assistance from the Foundation must have a plan to provide appropriate training and oversight in the responsible and ethical conduct of research to undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers participating in the proposed research project.
