2 What is Give Miami Day? Give Miami Day is one of the largest annual giving events in the Southeast United States. Held online, Give Miami Day allows all individuals in our community to make a philanthropic impact by collectively supporting local nonprofit organizations. In 2016, Give Miami Day made history, raising $9.1 million for more than 650 local nonprofits. Over 19,000 donors spanning the city, nation and globe participated in the multi-million dollar movement. This year s Give Miami Day will take place on November 16, hours of giving begins at 12 a.m. on November 16 and ends at 12 a.m. on November 17, How can you get involved? The Miami Foundation seeks your support in building an incentive pool that will provide additional dollars to participating nonprofits for every donation they receive throughout the 24-hour donation period. Your financial support augments our efforts in this community. We invite you to join us in this movement together we make an even greater Miami.
3 Bonus Pool Prize Pool Match Minute Pool Customization The Miami Foundation and its partners will maximize the community s generosity by making a bonus gift for every donation between $25 and $10,000 received on November 16 through givemiamiday.org. The bonus percentage will be calculated after Give Miami Day. For example, if the bonus pool is $300,000 and the total of all eligible gifts raised during Give Miami Day is $3,000,000, then the pro-rated bonus will be $0.10 on the dollar. In this scenario, a nonprofit that raises $10,000 will receive an additional $1,000 from the bonus pool. [Seeking sponsorships of any gift size; recognition benefits begin at $1,000] Prizes are awarded to nonprofits throughout the 24-hour period to encourage giving at various times. For example, the Lunch Time Special prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the nonprofit that receives the most donations between noon and 1 p.m. [Seeking sponsorships of $25,000 and above] Gifts between $25 and $100 made during a match minute will be eligible for a 100% match until the match minute pool has been exhausted. [Seeking sponsorships of $15,000 per minute] We welcome the opportunity to help you create a personalized gift or prize that best fits your needs should you wish to support the bonus pool for a specific issue area.
