2 Over the past fifteen years, Social Enterprise Network has grown into an organisation dedicated to developing and supporting social entrepreneurship across the Liverpool City Region. Established in 2000, we are now the foremost social economy infrastructure organisation in the North West of England, working with C.I.Cs, limited companies, cooperatives, charities and other socially conscious businesses. As we evolve, we feel that now is the right time to introduce a paid membership model, to enable us to offer members better, more tailored services and a more formalised programme of events over the next few years. We have come to this decision after an extended period of consideration. 1

3 About SEN We are the oldest and largest social enterprise network in the UK, supporting the sector in the Liverpool City Region and beyond. Some of the ways we do this include: o providing advice and support to new social enterprise businesses o raising funds to get great new ideas off the ground o encouraging private businesses to invest in social enterprise o working with the public sector to embed social value o lobbying for and promoting the local and national social economy. 2

4 Social Enterprise Network offers two levels of membership, with different pricing options according to the size and needs of your organisation: 1. Standard Membership 2. Corporate Membership 3

5 Standard Membership This option is available to social enterprises, charities and ethical private sector businesses anywhere in the UK. It offers ethical businesses the chance to significantly develop their activities and influence through a diverse package of support, networking and training. Services and Support o Full access to SEN online business directory, news, features, events and more. o Weekly drop-in advice session every Wednesday, for queries and questions. o Offers, discounts and advice from commercial partners for: marketing services, insurance, recruitment, legal support, financial services, office solutions and banking. o Weekly e-newsletter containing news, events, vacancies, contracts and funding opportunities. o Access to shared learning and peer groups. o Online quarterly magazine for the local and regional sector. Promotion Opportunities o Discounted advertising packages with SEN. o Opportunity to submit ten news items, events and offers for promotion on website each month. 4

6 Standard Membership continued This option is available to social enterprises, charities and ethical private sector businesses anywhere in the UK. It offers ethical businesses the chance to significantly develop their activities and influence through a diverse package of support, networking and training. Events, Training and Conferences o Discounted tickets to regular, cross-sector networking events. o Free, monthly breakfast event with guest speakers and themes. o Discounted tickets to annual Social Economy Conference. o Discounted tickets to Get Savvy on Social Enterprise Training Course. Special Offers o Introduce another organisation to SEN membership, and receive a 10% discount on your fees. o Authorised use of Social Enterprise Network logo on official communications. 5

7 Small Business (individuals and organisations with 1-5 paid 100 FTE staff) Medium Business (organisations with 6-50 paid FTE staff) 300 Large Business (organisations with paid FTE staff) 500 Methods of payment Standard Membership: Fees *Free membership is available to aspiring social entrepreneurs and start-up social enterprise businesses and charities for their first year of trading only, after which standard membership fees will apply. Annual fees will be based on staff numbers, as follows: Members can pay fees monthly, quarterly or annually, using a variety of payment methods: o Direct Debit o Standing Order o BACS o Debit or Credit Card o Invoice 6

8 Corporate Membership This option is available to larger social enterprises, charities or private businesses (with 50+ FTE staff) interested in working ethically within the sector through their Corporate Social Responsibility remit. Corporate members will enjoy the same benefits as standard members (see above), but with the following additions: o An impact report to be used as part of CSR reporting to shareholders and corporate partners (produced on request). o Free attendance at monthly networking events, for 2 employees per organisation. o Opportunity for brand presence at monthly Liverpool SOUP crowd-funding event. o Brand presence options and 5 minute platforms at key events e.g. Liverpool Loves Festival (August 2015), International Festival for Business (Summer 2016). o Guest podcast and blog-post contributions to a mailing list readership of o Discounted tickets for the annual Powerful Together Awards. 7

9 Corporate Membership: Fees Yearly fees for corporate membership are priced at % of corporate membership fees will be used to support business growth of the social economy sector through Social Enterprise Network s new business support model. Methods of payment Members can pay fees monthly, quarterly or annually, using a variety of payment methods: o Direct Debit o Standing Order o BACS o Debit or Credit Card o Invoice 8
