Message from the Chairman and CEO: For more than 140 years, 1st Source Bank has been giving back to our community to actively help build good places to live and work and raise our families. This service to our community is one of our principal values and has defined who we are and how we do business. I ve always said that to be a part of 1st Source, you have to love being in service to others and be committed to the communities we serve. Our team at 1st Source has embraced the spirit of volunteerism and I am very proud of the impact we ve had on our community. Whether it s repairing a house for a family in need, impacting the life of a child as a big brother or big sister or scout leader, or volunteering countless hours as a community board member, our colleagues have truly made a difference. 1st Source is committed to making a difference by partnering with local organizations who share our goals and objectives. This past year, we donated more than $800,000 to over 200 non-profit organizations in our communities. Education continued to be a major focus, as it is critical for developing a high quality of life for everyone. With so many recently needing help with the basics of food, clothing, and shelter, we also increased our commitment to social welfare and human services organizations. As you look through this Community Involvement Report, you will see the impact 1st Source has had on our local communities. More than just your financial partner, we re your partners from the first. Murphy III Chairman and Chief Executive Officer 1st Source Corporation 1st Source Bank donated $804,495 to the community in 2009 to support education, social welfare and human service efforts, the arts, economic development and community organizations.

3 Community Involvement Financial Literacy 1st Source is committed to offering financial literacy courses to groups within our community. The bank has reached out to schools, businesses and community organizations to offer financial education courses on budgeting and the basics of banking. Proving you re never too young to pay attention to your finances, 1st Source taught a group of students from the YMCA the basics about checking and savings accounts and then led the group on a tour of the River Park Banking Center. Adonna and Becky give YMCA kids a tour of the 1st Source River Park Banking Center Checks presented to the Salvation Army, YWCA and the Center for the Homeless Holiday Food Drive Committed to keeping people from going hungry during the holiday season, 1st Source employees launched a food drive to donate food to the men, women, and children served by the Center for the Homeless, the Salvation Army and the YWCA. In addition to the food and monetary donations by employees, 1st Source donated $10,000 toward the food drive. Making a House a Home Whether it s fixing up a home for a family in need, or building a home from the ground up, 1st Source employees are up to the challenge. 1st Source joined forces with Habitat for Humanity s World Build to ensure that a local family would have a new house to call home. Employees also volunteered their time and skills with Rebuilding Together to rehabilitate the homes of low income homeowners. To show its support, 1st Source provided monetary donations to both projects. 1st Source employees present a donation to Habitat for Humanity for the construction of a home for a local family 1st Source employees volunteer their time at Rebuilding Together United Way The United Way s mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. In 2009, 1st Source and its employees donated more than $250,000 to the United Way in support of this mission. In addition to the annual giving campaign, 1st Source launched a Community Spirit Days campaign in which the bank donated $10 to the United Way for every checking account that was opened during the fall. V o l u n t e e r i s m 1st Source employees are encouraged to give back to the community. In 2009, employees volunteered more than 20,000 hours to community organizations.

4 Donations and Sponsorships Examples of Projects Funded by 1st Source: Oregon-Davis Jr./Sr. High School Donation toward the school s New Tech initiative which uses technology to take real world ideas and integrate them into the classroom. St. Joseph County Kroc Center $100,000 donation toward the construction of the Salvation Army s Kroc Center which will provide recreational and educational opportunities for children in the South Bend area. Community Foundation of St. Joseph County Helped underwrite the Rickey kinetic sculpture exhibit displayed throughout the year in downtown South Bend. Commercialization Award Partnered with the University of Notre Dame to create a 1st Source Commercialization Award to encourage the advancement of new technologies in our region. Easter Seals Arc, Fort Wayne Donation funded equipment and supplies to enhance a program benefiting more than 300 of Easter Seal Arc s working age clients with disabilities. Julie Keb, Judy Caudill and Ron Zeltwanger present the donation to Principal Briles of Oregon-Davis Jr./Sr. High School Bashor Children s Home, Elkhart Sponsored gala event to benefit Bashor s mission of providing help for troubled children and their families through residential care, alternative education, foster care and many other services. Marshall County Financial Stability Initiative Partnered with the United Way to provide financial education classes for students and adults in Marshall County. The classes are part of a three year partnership between 1st Source Bank and the United Way. Raclin Community Leadership Award was established by 1st Source Bank to honor and encourage volunteerism through the businesses in our community. The award is presented annually to 1st Source employees and clients who demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism of Ernestine M. Raclin, Chairman Emeritus of 1st Source Bank. In its eleventh year, ten 1st Source employees and clients were recognized for their commitment to the community. Winners received a Globe of Leadership, a $1,000 cash award and a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice. On behalf of the Ernestine M. Raclin Community Leadership Award winners, donations were made to the following organizations: The Public Education Foundation, Inc.
