Contents of Application Packet to Submit Online (Total 7 pages in this document) Section 1: General Information Sheet (must be initialed and dated). Section 2: Student Application Form. Section 3: List of Scholarships for which you are applying (mark all eligible awards by checking the box). Section 4: Portfolio (PDF for texts, JPEG for still images, MP4 for moving images, and MP3 for audio-only work). Section 5: List of Entry with information for each work. Section 6: Essay (approximately 200 words) describing your concept and creative process. Section 1: General information Sheet Please read the following carefully. Then initial, date, and complete the application form. Save and Export your completed form as a new PDF and upload with your portfolio items. All applications must be submitted online by 5pm Wednesday, January 25, Contact Seo Eo (eos@ecu.edu) with any questions. A. Portfolio: (instructions on pages 4 and 5 of this document) 1. Five examples of work will be submitted via Google Drive. 2. Upload individual items to your Google Drive folder as: PDF for this application form, JPEG for still images, MP4 for moving images, and MP3 for audio-only work. 3. Submit the Share Link to this folder to Seo Eo (eos@ecu.edu). B. Scholarship Funds: 1. All Scholarships are contingent upon funding. 2. The Scholarships may vary in amount and are subject to change based on funding. 3. Funds are awarded through HigherOne during the academic year that follows the time of selection. C. Requirements of the recipients: 1. At the time of the actual funding of awards, recipients must be full-time student and major in the School of Art and Design (with a specific studio concentration in the areas designated by certain scholarships). 2. The recipients of the award must correspond with the donors of the funds to express their appreciation. A thank you letter, addressed to the donor, must be submitted to Seo Eo for the funds to be released to the award recipient. 3. The recipients of the award will attend the annual Scholarship Recognition Luncheon hosted by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication. Invitation will be sent to each recipient. 4 4 Section 4: Portfolio A. Step-by-Step Instruction 1. Go to drive.google.com and log in to your account. 2. Create a folder named Scholarship_YourName to upload your application form and portfolio containing 5 examples of your recent work. 3. Upload application form and portfolio items. Acceptable files are: PDF for texts JPEG for still images MP4 for moving images MP3 for audio-only work 4. When uploading of your application form and portfolio is complete, go to the Share setting for the folder. You may do this by clicking on the folder from the top menu (My Drive > Scholarship_YourName) and selecting Share option. continued to next page

5 5 A. Step-by-Step Instruction continued from previous page 5. In Share dialog box, enter in the address field, then choose share option to Can view, and click Send. 6. It will ask you to confirm the invitation, and click Yes. An invitation will be sent to Seo Eo with this confirmation. 7. Your portfolio is now submitted. A receipt confirmation will be sent to you.
