2 Program Overview Encourages collaboration among CITRIS campuses Helps fulfill our mandate to be multi-campus Strengthens CITRIS Initiative focus areas 116 projects funded since 2007 $7M in seed funding over the life of the program

3 Evaluation Criteria Seed Grant proposals are evaluated according to the following criteria: 1. Technical innovation 2. Practicality 3. Creates solution to a societal challenge 4. Potential for follow-on funding 5. Alignment with CITRIS research initiatives 6. Use of CITRIS research assets including the Marvell NanoLab, CITRIS Invention Lab, or CITRIS Social Apps Lab is encouraged but not required 7. Inclusion of pre-tenured faculty is encouraged but not required
