2 Introduction: GTU Innovation Council Surat is one of the regional center under aegis of Gujarat Technological University. GIC Surat started Student Startup Innovation Policy (SSIP) to evaluate and support students Related Innovative projects in the ongoing regular curriculum syllabus. Gov. of Gujarat Approved grant upto Rs. 2 Lakh to support innovators for initial prototyping of the projects. The Project Screening was conducted at Dr. S. & S.S. Ghandhy College Surat. Total 36 teams participate for SSIP project screening. The event was moderated by GIC Coordinator Mr. Pancham Baraiya with the help of other coordinators of Surat zone Mr.krupal dabhi & Mr. Hemik Mehta. About Jury panel for SSIP project Screening Mr.Ashwin Shavrni: Mr.Mukul Goyal: Mr.Nitin Patel: Event Summary: The screening session was initiated by Mr.Pancham, he introduced about various Initiatives of GTU Innovation Council. He also briefed about the policies and grants which comes under GIC. Mr. Pancham explains about the SSIP and NI policies where Innovators can apply for grants upto Rs. 10 lakh for Finalizing their Minimum Viable Products. He also describes about support provided to innovators for Filling of patents for their Innovative products. GIC also Provide IPR support upto Rs to Students and Innovators. He addressed all the Participants about How to check novelty of any projects with Prior art search and how to prepare Pitch Deck before presenting their projects Ideas. Mr.krupal dabhi Welcomed all the Jury Members and gave introduction about jury member and then all Jury members gave motivation speech to all young students. The event started with presentation of project in form of diagrams and demo models. Students from Surat zone have presented their ideas for final year one by one. 3 Feasibility of product/project Competition and USP On basis of these criteria projects were short listed for final round. Every team presented their project in the proper channel. As decide early two projects will be awarded for this event. There were Unique projects like wastage plastic fuel, Static voltage stabilizer and others. GIC Surat is planning to conduct skill building session to make aware all the students about different aspects of startups. In this screening session out of 36 teams 9 projects were selected for final screening at Ahmedabad Zone. The list of Projects selected based on Evaluation criteria are mentioned below. SR.NO.
