3 Purchasing for School Nutrition Programs Workshop will provide an overview of procurement requirements as it relates to School Nutrition Programs. Presented By: Guiselle Carreon, San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and Luke Boughen, Attorney, Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost Workplace Investigations Workshop will address a school district's need to conduct a prompt and thorough investigation under workplace anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, anti-retaliation laws, and general rules of conduct for district employees. You will learn best practices used in school workplace investigations and be able to hit the ground running when faced with a race discrimination claim, sexual harassment complaint, or religious discrimination allegations. Dalessandro, J.D., Lozano Smith Attorneys at Law SESSION 3 11:40a 12:40p Child Nutrition Budgeting and USDA Requirements Workshop will provide an overview of key budget considerations such as meals per labor hour, non-profit foods, paid lunch equity, food cost, and labor cost. Presented By: Jennifer Marrone, San Diego Unified School District Request for Proposal (RFP) Development Presenters will discuss when it is appropriate to use an RFP, how to requalify bidders, and how to ensure award to the lowest bidder in compliance with Public Contract Code.
