INOVISA is a non-profit association that promotes innovation, knowledge and technology transfer and entrepreneurship within the agricultural, agrifood, forestry, biotech, landscape and environmental sectors, strengthening the links between university and industry and supporting the development of technology and knowledge-based businesses Entrepreneurship and business development Innovation and technology transfer International cooperation for development Digital knowledge communication

3 Rede INOVAR The Portuguese Agro, Food and Forest Innovation Network INOVISA leads a Portuguese innovation network based on technology and knowledge transfer in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors, to support the transfer of innovative ideas from research labs to the real world: Rede INOVAR. This network was created in 2011 by a consortium of 10 entities representing both the scientific and the business community. Nowadays, Rede INOVAR has 77 national entities, representing the most important stakeholders in the Portuguese agricultural, food and forestry sectors.

5 Official launch of Rede INOVAR (funded by the Portuguese Rural Development Program) Launch of networking activities (technological contests, exhibitions and brokerage meetings in business fairs, workshops and seminars for knowledge dissemination and other networking events) Beginning of the elaboration of 4 prospective studies (one for each of the thematic areas: fruits, vegetables and flowers, olive oil, wine and forest), using Delphi Methodology

6 Launch of a knowledge and technology transfer Web Platform : Organization of networking activities Conclusion of the prospective studies First steps towards developing strategic orientations and policies for agricultural, food and forestry sectors at national level Integration of 67 new entities to the network

7 Raise awareness about the European Innovation Partnership Organization of networking activities Organization of an event to raise awareness about the European Innovation Partnership (EIP AGRI) and the model for the creation of Operational Groups End of funding Establishment of a partnership with a bank to support the organization of 7 regional workshops, 2 national seminars and an innovation contest in 2014 Intent to partner with the Portuguese National Network for Rural Development to help the implementation of the EIP AGRI in Portugal
