2 UFV DUAL CAMPUS TOUR DATE: Thursday, March 1st TIME: Depart ACSS 8:30AM, Returning to ACSS Approx. 2:00PM LOCATION: We will begin by touring UFV s Trades & Technology and Canada Education Park campuses in Chilliwack, home of trades, technology, healthcare, dental, and more. We will then travel to the Abbotsford campus for lunch (bring your own or buy) Before checking out what this campus has to offer. YOUTH TRAIN IN TRADES EXPLORATION TOUR PIPING/PLUMBING, AUTOMOTIVE, AND CARPENTRY PROGRAMS WILL BE TOURED DATE: Wednesday, February 28 th TIME: 8:15AM 3:00PM LOCATION: School Board Office nd Street, Langley. The Tour starts and ends at the School Board Office with bus transportation to the Piping/Plumbing, Automotive, and Carpentry programs at LSS and ACSS. The tour starts and ends at the board office and students will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the SBO. Applications are available from Mrs. Callaghan in Career Advising now. 7 SPRING BREAK WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITY WITH ANIMAL LOGIC Animal Logic Vancouver; we are a world leader in Feature Animation that creates such films as The Lego Movie, Peter Rabbit and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. We are going to be running a work experience week for grade 11 students from BC at our Studio in downtown Vancouver, where successful applicants will spend the week learning and applying a variety of computer animation related skills. This could help the students achieve all of their 30 hours work experience, in one fun and exciting week. It will be taking place in Spring Break Monday 19 th March 2018 to Friday 23 rd March 2018 and we would really appreciate you helping us get the word out to your staff and students J The deadline for applications from interested students is Wednesday 7 th March 2018and can be applied for via an online application form on our website
