4 GIZ Portfolio-Overview in Digital Development Currently no OECD DAC criteria for digital development mainstreaming, therefore halfyearly portfolio review throughout whole German Development portfolio Overall 380 projects with digital components are implemented by German Development Cooperation (up from 223 projects in 2015 and 325 projects in 2016), which indicates around two per-cent of overall portfolio of German Development Cooperation GIZ implements 193 projects in 80 countries in all regions, majority in Africa and Asia Priority Sectors are (1) Good Governance, (2) Economic Development & Job Creation, (3) Health and Education as well as (4) Environmental Prection and Climate Change Major application of Digital Technologies: (1) Digital Knowledge Management, (2) Social Media, (3) GIS Systems, (4) Management-Information-Systems, (5) Smart- Phone Apps as well as (6) Big Data and (7) Blockchain as trending technologie Page 4
