1 LAFCU is calling artists for a chance to create an original artwork. You will be painting one of five giant LAFCU letters as part of the credit union's LAFCU Serves Series. Want to create something unique and have it displayed in a traveling art exhibit viewed by thousands throughout 2019? If you answered YES than this project is for you! The LAFCU letters will travel to venues throughout mid- Michigan providing each artist with multiple opportunities to display their work to diverse audiences. Each winning artist will also receive a $250 VISA gift card. Design Application Rules & Guidelines: TOPIC: LAFCU Serves Series SUBMISSION DATES: Tuesday, January 1, 2019 Friday, March 31, 2019 WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Monday, April 1, 2019 along with assigned LAFCU letter GRADING: Design submissions will be judged using a 1-5 point scale with the following criteria: Were the directions followed? Conceptualized Design Creativity SUBMISSION:

2 Please fill out the submission form as well as a sketch of the design concept in color along with a summary for your design (sketch can include a concept that will work on any of the LAFCU letters) Submit entry (including sketch or design concept and summary of design interpretation) to: Submission must follow these product guidelines: The credit union philosophy of people helping people will be carried over to showcase 5 LAFCU products/services that are interpreted by each artist. Some concepts have already been established, but we are looking for you to put your own spin on how that would look on the letter. Feel free to carry over elements of what already exists under current creative for these concepts. - Choose one letter to represent your interpretation of the Mortgage Outgrown concept, People Helping People credit union concept, Home Equity Line of Credit Now Can We Get a New Roof concept, Statewide concept, or Vertical Credit Card concept. Please see page 2 for a reference on the current concepts. PAINT DAY: All winning artists will paint their assigned letter at one time. The paint date will be determined at a later date. ELIGIBILITY RULES: Michigan resident If under the age of 18, you are eligible to participate as long as a parent or guardian gives you permission to paint, paints with you, or is present with you the day of painting. Artists must provide their own tools/equipment, and latex paint (and will be reimbursed up to $100, with receipt supplied) Studio space is provided by LAFCU and shared with other artists the day of painting letters Design submissions must stay in line with the LAFCU Serves Series Design submissions must include a sketch of the design concept in color as well as a summary on your design (sketch can include a concept that will work on any of the LAFCU letters) LAFCU is not responsible for any lost or stolen items or damage to paintings. No profanity may be used Artwork becomes the property of LAFCU upon submission Finished artwork may or may not be captured in a 'live-rendering' state for marketing purposes Award recipients will also be recognized across many of our marketing channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, website(s), press release(s), etc. LAFCU reserves the right to refuse any submissions. By signing this application, you are stating that you are the artist (or parent/guardian thereof) of the submitted design and the material is not copied in any manner. You are also giving LAFCU permission to use you or your child s name and/or photograph in marketing, media, and promotional materials. Signature may be verified upon winning.

4 DESIGN CONCEPTS OVERVIEW: 1. Mortgage OUTGROWN YOUR HOME Concept: This has been a concept we will continue to run in order to get more Mortgage loans. Feel free to carry over elements from this concept and take your own spin artistically to display it on one of the LAFCU letters. We have a commercial that you can reference for great ideas either by visiting our Facebook or Twitter sites or on LAFCU s YouTube channel. 2. People Helping People Concept: This concept revolves around the credit union philosophy of People Helping People in the communities we live in. 3. Credit Card Concept: We have three new credit cards (Visa Signature, Simple Visa, and Rewards Visa). The interesting and unique visual aspect of these cards (outside of the great rewards and incentives) is that they are vertical in orientation (with the LAFCU logo at the bottom as you see below.) This offers LAFCU a great chance to set us apart from our competitors and brand the name while your card is being read in the card reader. - Please include in your concept an idea that showcases the credit cards in a vertical space.

5 4. Home Equity Line of Credit Now Can We Get A New Roof Concept: This concept will continue to be utilized as well. Feel free to carry over elements of this campaign with your own unique spin on the concept. Statewide Concept: We now can service your friends and family statewide. Using the representation of the state of Michigan, show this concept.
