1 P&F NEWSLETTER St Luke s Catholic Primary School - Woodvale Term 3 Number 5 20 th August 2014 Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser Joondalup, Saturday 20 th September This event raised over $2,600 for the P&F in 2013, great opportunity for St Luke s to host this fundraiser again in 2014, please put Saturday, September 20th in your diary to help. The Roster has now been posted on the noticeboard outside the school office, please add your name to a shift or Colleen directly (colleen.chestnutt@mheducation.com) We are hoping we will have enough helpers to ask for 1 hour only, requiring a minimum of 5 volunteers per shift between 7am 5pm. Would be great to have some Dad s on the BBQ with all the experience men have in this area! Looking forward to a successful day! Tania Smart (smartan@bigpond.com) and Colleen Chestnutt. We would like to acknowledge the generous donation to our school community from Bunnings Joondalup who has donated a Jumbuck 6 burner Solid Plate BBQ to our P & F. Thanks to Angela Testa for facilitating this donation
2 During the past year some of the money raised through the P & F has been distributed as follows: - Funding for the Mathletics program $ Contributing to the cost of the bus for the Year 6 camp $ Purchasing Art resources including books, consumables and picture frames an approximate amount of $1100. (these have not yet been purchased so the amount is only an estimate) - Subsidising the cost of the Performing arts costumes At the most recent meeting we voted to contribute the following: - Equipment for Pre-primary - $ Equipment for the Year 1 & 2 - $3000 This is a brief outline of the P & F contributions. For further details please read the minutes of the P&F meetings. If you have any questions in relation to these contribution or you have suggestions on how we should be using the P & F funds please join us at the next meeting, we welcome input from all of our members PRE-PRIMARY MORNING TEA & DINNER Little Caesars - Hillarys Marina 58 Southside Drive Hillarys 7pm Friday 12 th September RSVP: Tues 9 th September ravid@westnet.com.au Come for morning tea at Waldecks Kingsley after school drop off this Friday 22 nd August.
