ANY OTHER RELEVENT INFROMATION, IF ANY: Brief write up on the conducted during Vigilance Awareness Week 2018 Vigilance awareness week was observed in Indian Institute of Management Ranchi from 29th October to 3rd November 2018 with the theme Eradicate Corruption - Build a New India (भ रष ट च र म ट ओ - नय भ रत बन ओ). The following were conducted during the vigilance awareness week. i. Vigilance awareness week 2018 started with the display of banners at IIM Ranchi campus at Suchana Bhawan, Satellite campus and hostel at Khelgaon Complex. ii. On the first day of the week, the faculty, staff and the students of IIM Ranchi took Integrity Pledge/e-pledge acknowledging their commitment to uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity and to fight against corruption. iii. Vigilance awareness week is scheduled in such a way so that it coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. We celebrated 143 rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on at our Hostel at Khelgaon. Our honourable Director, Prof. Shailendra Singh, administered Unity Pledge to the students, staff and faculty. We organised Walkathon/Run for Unity and aided in spreading awareness among the public to fight against corruption. iv. We conducted panel discussion on 01st November 2018 in association with Eastern Railway Vigilance. The topic was How to Eradicate Corruption. Prof. Soumya Sarkar and Prof. Shilpee A Dasgupta played the role as Judges for this competition. 14 students participated in 7 panel. v. A debate competition was organised on The topic was Which approach is better in eradicating corruption: Theory X or Theory Y. Prof. N Sivasankaran and Prof. Shibashish Chakraborty were judges of the completion. 5 students participated in this competition. vi. Our Director, Prof. Shailendra Singh presided over the closing ceremony of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2018 and expressed his concerns that people mindset of honesty and integrity is more important in fighting against corruption. During the closing ceremony, a sensitization programme on Policies/Procedures and Preventive Vigilance was organized. Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Chief Manager,

11 Vigilance Department, Central Coalfields Limited, Ranchi was invited to conduct the programme. He deliberated on various preventive vigilance measures. A lecture by Smt. A. Vijya Laxmi, I.P.S, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Ranchi was arranged on the closing ceremony who spoke about the functioning of ACB and conveyed that citizens have to play a major role in fighting against corruption. Certificates were distributed to the winners of various competitions.
