5 SEA Electronics Manufacturing Supply Chain Southeast Asia (SEA) contributes an astounding 27% of global assembly, test and production SEA is the one of the largest market region for Assembly and Test equipment and is the second largest market region for packaging materials SEA is also the home of more than 19 semiconductor foundries, top 5 OSATs and 4 of the world top tiered EMS companies apart from EDA and a rich and diverse supporting sub-systems The electronic exports accounts for more than **30% of total manufacturing output for SEA regional players. Electronics and Electrical (E&E) sector contributes, in general, between 4% to 28% to total GDP for SEA electronics manufacturing regions FDI in E&E ranges from 15% to almost 22% based on previous 5 years data
