2 THE INITIATIVE The Showpad Sales & Marketing Excellence Awards (SAM Awards) is designed to recognize and promote the best-in-class sales enablement deployments from customers and partners who have proven to be true leaders and innovators in their industry. The objective of the Award is to inspire organisations to develop the best sales enablement practices and encourage creativity in designing customer experiences. Created in 2015 to promote the importance of sales and marketing enablement, the Showpad SAM Awards recognise achievements that may inspire new ideas for sales and marketing.

3 Showtime18, Europe s largest sales enablement conference, will take place in Ghent (Belgium) from 17 to 18 October. The event serves as a forum for clients and partners to share the latest sales enablement research, trends, and best practices that empower today s sales and marketing leaders to sell the way buyers want to buy. Shortlisted SAM Award companies will have the opportunity to present their projects live on 17 October. At Showtime18, the global sales and marketing community will gather to celebrate the creativity that is innovating the landscape of sales enablement, to exchange ideas and best practices, and to learn and create business opportunities with top international professionals from SAM. 6 THE SAM AWARDS FEATURES FIVE NOMINATION CATEGORIES 1. BUSINESS IMPACT SAM CATEGORIES & NOMINATIONS Demonstrate the impact Showpad s platform has had on buying and selling experiences, in terms of ROI or transformation. Provide detailed insights into improvements experienced through your sales enablement strategy as well as enhanced sales productivity. Detail how your sales enablement strategy has bridged the content gap between marketing and sales, enhancing efficiencies in both areas to make everyone s jobs easier. What will be measured: quantitative business results achieved with the Showpad solution, increased sales productivity, activated sales enablement process within the organisation, and collaboration between sales and marketing

7 2. BRAND DESIGN AND VISUAL EXCELLENCE Demonstrate how you have pushed the creative boundaries of your channel branding to ensure your company brand stands out whilst sales are engaging audiences in the field using visual navigation. This can also include the creative use of your own content uploaded to the channel. What will be measured: graphical design, creativity, use of 3D, AR and collaborative effort with partners. SAM EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING PROJECT Award assigned to the project that, among all entries, was able to collect the majority of votes during onsite voting process at Showtime18. All shortlisted projects will be published on the event official mobile app. All registered delegates attending will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite project. The project with more preferences will be assigned the award.

INTERACTIVITY Demonstrate how you have created innovative and engaging experiences for audiences that transcend the classic folder structure of photos, PDFs and videos.this could include personalized experiences where sales gathers input from the prospect to guide discussions, localize and curate content. It might also include the use of interactive content such as ROI calculators or quote generators. What will be measured: use of guided selling experiences and interactive content. 4. SCALING SALES EXCELLENCE From onboarding, to new product launch, to sales methodology change, to cross-sell and upsell initiatives, or to creating an overall coaching culture, improving sales effectiveness and setting the table for ongoing sales success is something for which you to continually strive. Using key performance indicators, demonstrate (with data) how you moved the needle on sales performance in the past year. Wrap your numbers with a story of the situation initially, the change during, and the measurables afterwards.

SALES AND MARKETING PARTNER This award recognizes agencies and SIs that have created outstanding buyer experiences for our customers, by introducing truly innovative and transformative solutions to their day to day lives. The Sales and Marketing Partner Award will have two nominations: The Best Solution Provider in Sales and Marketing Award, and The Best Technology Provider Award.

10 1. Entries can be from existing Showpad customers or partners 2. Only projects not previously submitted for SAM Awards will be accepted. 3. Each project can be entered only once. Projects entered for a second year will be automatically rejected. RULES 4. Each organisation can enter as many projects as it wishes in one or more categories, but awards can only be granted in a maximum of 2 categories. 5. The Jury Panel will have the right to move entries to a different category if the project doesn t meet the entered category criteria.

11 6. By entering a project for the Awards, the entrant acknowledges that all materials requested might be used for Showtime18 purposes. 10. Entries will not be considered finalised until the entry form has been completed online and the compulsory material has been uploaded. 7. Showpad reserves the right to request additional details, if necessary, and the entrant shall provide such details within the required time frame. 11. No replacement or additional media will be accepted after an entry has been finalised and received by the Showtime Organiser. 8. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that he or she doesn t violate the intellectual property rights of the submitted materials. The entry may be removed from the listing for intellectual property rights infringement. 9. All entry forms must be completed online via showtime. showpad.com by the Awards submission deadline. This allows sufficient time for entries to be processed and reviewed and for any issue to be resolved if necessary Entries cannot be cancelled or removed from the competition. English is the official language of Showtime18, therefore all non-english material must be translated and/or subtitled. All material and documentation must be received by 15 September

12 LEGAL RIGHTS TREATMENT AND PUBLICATION OF ENTRIES The entrant acknowledges that the Organiser might use any of the submitted material (texts, videos, images etc.) for communication and promotional purposes on the Showtime18 website, archive, newsletter, mobile app, social media, etc. Each entrant confirms to have the legal right to apply for the Awards, subject to its terms and restrictions.

14 EVALUATION PROCESS SAM Awards Jury members are chosen among marketing and sales leaders with local or international responsibilities from well-known multinational corporations located in a wide range of sectors and countries. 15 JURY S CODE OF ETHICS Jury members will commit to signing a code of ethics based on the following principles: 1. Each Jury member is chosen according to his or her professional skills and experience in the sales and marketing industry. 2. Jury members will judge and vote honestly and without preconceived ideas, respecting the evaluation and selection criteria, defined in the rules of the awards. 3. To avoid conflicts between Jury members and candidates, jurors from organisations cannot vote for a project from their own company. 4. If there is any personal conflict that may influence a Jury member s objectivity in voting, he or she will inform the Chief of Awards of the Jury and not participate in the voting of the project. 5. Jury members will not accept any solicitation from any participants that could influence their vote. In the event this happens, they will alert the the Chief of Awards of the jury.

16 JURY GUIDELINES A number of criteria will be considered during judging: 1. Creativity & innovation Creative idea to support the objectives and the technological innovations shaping the sales and marketing experience. 2. Partnership and Execution How the client or partner achieved a good client engagement and behavioural change and if it was a collaborative effort between the customer and partner. 3. Quality Overall quality, especially in comparison to the budget and to competitors in the same category. 4. Effectiveness Achievement of the stated objectives with the implemented solution compared to project costs and project time.

17 To enter for the SAM Awards, register online via showtime.showpad.com. No other submission methods will be accepted. Shortlisted projects will receive 2 free passes to Showtime18. The registration code will be share with you upon receipt of your submission. MANDATORY MATERIAL 1. Summary of the project (key points) ENTRY PROCEDURES & MATERIAL 2. Description of the implementation process and goals you were planning to reach 6. Description of the results and benefits after implementation 7. Logo of the submitting company (PNG, no background, high resolution 300 dpi, 1024x1024px min) 8. Website 9. Project presentations in PPT or PDF, or in video format Online form must be completed in English only.you may upload additional materials and add links to videos in the submission form.

18 When project is shortlisted you will be asked to submit the following: Video showcasing the project: 3 minutes max. (MP4 - L1920px H1080px; 100MB max.). It is recommended that this video features a voice over and/or subtitles in English. IMPORTANT: Music used for all video content must be free from copyright. Videos that do not comply with this regulation will be automatically excluded from the competition. DELEGATE PASSES Shortlisted nominees will received 2 complimentary passes to Showtime18.
