1 INVITING APPLICATIONS FROM THE HANDLOOM WEAVERS (OUTSIDE BLOCK LEVEL CLUSTERS) FOR THE SUPPLY OF HANDLOOM / HANDLOOM ACCESSORIES / SKILL UP-GRADATION TRAINING / CONSTRUCTION OF WORK SHED / LIGHTING UNIT The Office of the Development Commissioner for (Handlooms), Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi is implementing Block Level Cluster, a component of National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP). The Scheme provides financial assistance towards Skill Up-gradation (in weaving, dyeing and designing), loom and accessories, lighting units and construction of work sheds for the weavers outside the Block Level Clusters as detailed below. Implementation of the interventions shall be done by the Weavers Service Centre concerned in their respective States. Admissible Components Eligibility Percentage of contribution Handloom/Handloom Accessories / Lighting Units Construction of Individual Work shed per unit- Rs,,0,000(measuring 5 Square metre) i) Outside BLC weaver (Loom less weaver/replace or switch over to other types of loom / higher width of loom) ii) Candidate studying Diploma /Degree/ Certificate course in Handloom/Textiles in last 3 to 6 Months of course (i) Vacant land should be owned by the weaver. (ii) Land should be free from encumbrance and dispute. Handloom Weaver (Beneficiary)- 0% Government of India-90% BPL/SC/ST/Women Handloom weaver-00% by Government of India; Others Weaver (Beneficiary) -5% Government of India - 75% Additional cost will be borne by the beneficiaries For further details refer the The camps are organised by the concern the Weavers Service Centre in the respective Jurisdiction as scheduled below to receive the applications in the prescribed format (Annexure I, II & III) for each intervention separately along with self-attested photocopy of AADHAR, Weavers identity card issued by the competent authority as per O/o DCH guidelines and other document as per eligibility/supporting documents. The incomplete application deemed to be rejected and the committee s decision is the final for scrutinising the applications based on guidelines.
